  • Can anyone help with my dilemma - I did post on PAD initially as it is my PAD which is the problem.

How can I make the snowball calc work for me when one of my debts has 2 different interest rates?

I know from the minimum calc on here that my Barclaycard will take 35 years and 10 months to pay back and I will pay £13,575 in interest if I only pay minimum payments.

But my Halifax is still on the old rate of calculating minimum payment so I have to cover the interest and charges plus £5 every month so my debt literally reduces at £5 every month and according to my calculations it will take about 37 years to pay back  but I am not sure what the total interest will be.

I have about £850 being paid back at 6.95% and £1371.78 being paid back at 17.95% so although the interest is lower it will take longer to pay back so should I make my PAD's to Halifax or Barclaycard?

    Thanks

Claire - Can you do pasta with sauce (similar to what you might have for tea) and they eat it cold? When my DD takes in pasta or rice salad all the other children think it's great.

Could you make some buns or flapjacks?

I have porridge oats here actually, never made them though, will have to see if I can find an easy recipe.

I also have a scone mix here

Don't have all the ingredients for flap jacks :( no brown sugar, could I use normal sugar do you think?

Trying to have an early night after an exhausting day, but someone in the village is having a party with the clear intention of preventing all of the rest of us from sleeping. And the dog is fussing about downstairs... I can hear her toenails clicking on the wooden floors as she wanders round.... I have let her out for a wee, she has water, and has been rearranging her bed, so I've got no idea what's up. Maybe she objects either to the early night or to the music... Or is hoping I've forgotten I fed her...
  • Quick question MG - are you still going to post the challenges on here for those of us who aren't on the 'other side'? - I personally would really like to be able to follow them but am not sure I have enough to contribute, on the Matrix, to be able to join (IYSWIM);)

    8oz sr flour
    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine
    1tbsp golden syrup
    1tbsp hot water
    1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

    8ozs = 225 grams

Ahh Bitsy - this is from that blog you posted, and I have seen it on a friend's FB page too. I thought it's something very 'Matrix'!
