  • Good morning!

Ralph Marston's message gave me a gentle nudge this morning - worth a look if you would like a bit of supportive rigour to start the week!

I feel a bit like that today GB. I am flitting. Aduki beans recipe. How about Red Dragon Pie This is a recipe. Like Tricia I dont tend to follow recipes so this is one I found on line. Also I use Aduki beans for chilli. Sarah Browne is a really good source for veggie recipes.

I copied and pasted that when you posted it before and can vouch for it as yummy. :T:T:j:j
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Just reading through the thread trying to keep up. Not sure about joining in, didn't feel comfortable last time as some things were said that weren't great. But anyway I will try again. And this did make me giggle. I don't live in the UK anymore, so my mum comes out to me for christmas to see the DS's. She stays for 12 WEEKS:eek::eek::eek::eek:By the end of it I want to never have her to stay again, take up smoking and run away for some peace! She is ALWAYS ON THE GO, can't stay in and wants to chivvy us along. Even the boys get sick of it and they do alot of sport and stuff and at the weekends is slobbing time.....Sigh.

12 weeks  and you're both still alive at the end of it?! I hope she at least does your ironing while she's there.... I'm back in hospital in November and I know she'll want to come down again, but I'm going to make my dad promise to take her away as soon as the anaesthetic wears off

Lovely sunny day today, and I'm hoping to spent it lying in the sun if I can get downstairs. However, this week is the bad week with my medication... The one that had me back in hospital last time in case something else was wrong. And it's just as bad this time so far :( I'm just glad I got out and did the shopping yesterday as I won't be going anywhere for a few days.

For those of you in England, enjoy the bank holiday!

    Tuscan Bean thingy
Verdict : Yum. It will be added to our 'meal in a flash' list. I must admit to adding 2 snipped up slices of smoked bacon that needed using and we sprinkled a bit of cheese over the top but I think it would be just as great as per original recipe. Thanks Triciaxx :)

If I've got a bit of cooking bacon or chorizo or some mushrooms or an odd carrot or . . . or . . . in they go!

I sprinkle grated cheese on lots of things to give a little extra protein and calcium - it helps that I love cheese.

My OH asked how Red Dragon Pie got its name. I said I got it from someone who lives in Wales. Then I googled it and discovered that its what the Chinese call aduki beans. I'm a veritable repository of useless information!

Yep... End of summer (we need the reminder in case we didn't notice it starting).

It looks like it might be nice when it dries out... I hope so as I'm back on bed rest for a few days and would rather lie around outside :D

Brummiebabe - welcome :) we like newbies and try not to scare them too much... ;)
