Hex - can I steal your plum cake picture from FB please :)

Help yourself. As the messy one :p?

I haven't done the freezer yet - decluttered the craft cupboard instead to give DH a dedicated space to store his stuff so that we can actually eat in the dining room.

ETA I have just made a chocolate cake, suitably lop sided and badly iced by a medium sized boy as usual. Do you want a photo before they eat it? Also a friend of mine makes cakes professionally, and her husband takes good quality photos. Have e-mailed to ask f you can use some of hers. Will let you know.

Thank you all for your support earlier with my letter burning.

I’m in the middle of the most difficult things that I’ve had to deal with in my life and I really need the support of as many people as possible. I know I can do it alone but having others to help lighten the load will make so much difference.
I’ve already gone through so much painful stuff in my life alone and now I really feel the need to reach out to people. I’m not very good at it but I am trying.

So, could I ask for your help again please?
    xx

Hex - if you order the books here on the kids card it is free - possible with the SS? I've never been asked when I collect but would just say it was for a school project.

    Thank you.
I'm not going to repeat all the things in my diary as lots of you already read it.

I am really at a loss as to how to tell OH I want us to break up. And the practical stuff is making me feel like I'm stuck in jam. I don't know where to start with it.

Mortgage & house in joint names but no equity. Debts, some in my name. I don't work because of the fibro and I can't work anything like full time. If I'm still on the deads/mortgage I don't think I can get housing benefit. And there's no money anywhere I can get at to move and get the things I'm likely to need.
Like I say, stuck in jam and I don't know where to go with this.
If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful xx

First things first HL. Benefits. Not sure if you are married or if you are living together. If married I am not sure where you stand but if living together only in your circumstances you will be able to claim benefits. If you are seperated though the marriage will not matter even if you are in the same property I think. You should phone Disability Benefits Helpline as a starting point. Next decide where you want to live. I know you are keen to go to Wales so perhaps we can help by seeing what rental is available. You could look to see what the standard local housing allowance is for the area that you want to move to and aim to rent somewhere in that area. I know that you have a dog to take with you too so you need to look for pet friendly accommodation. The end of the season is coming up so I reckon there will be a glut of houses available.

first Benefits, lets get you sorted with money before we even think about the next steps. If you phone that number they will start talking you through what to do. Alternatively go to the CAB who can help you through the process or your Local Authority will have a benefits adviser.

  • Have a look at the Shelter advice pages. Here is the link to their section on relationship breakdown. It might give you some pointers.

greenbee, I can have a go at doing a chopping board pic for you this evening - would that help? I have carrots, sweet potato, celery and cucumber. Would that be sufficient variety? I can add in red onion, radish, pea pods (or peas out of the pod), okra, little gem lettuce leaves. I'm afraid that's the full content of my fridge!
that would be fab... Will PM you...
