Welcome to the Matrix HL, you will find that the ranks will close around you here, when you need help and support, or even if you need to vent. xx

ETA, just realised that I am 12 weeks clean from nicotine and all the chemicals and baggage that go with smoking, Yay.

Arm is aching now, but another bit of the scarf done :)

Note to Claire. Take a look back at your posts just a year ago and there would not have been that positivity. Well done. As long as the boiler pot went on something that will go to the greater good thats all that matters.

Fantastic Fantasia. And with all that you have been through that is even more amazing. How is that big lolloping Leyla doing by the way.

Woohoo!!! If you had asked, I would have guessed 5 weeks. It just shows that time flies when you're having fun. :rotfl: (Sorry, probably not a good joke).

I'm 8 months, 1 week, 14 hours clear. I hardly ever think about it but the other week we were sitting outside a pub on the broads and got talking to a couple at the next table. She lit up and I had a totally irrational urge to bum a cig from her. It just reinforced "Not one puff, ever".
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

yes, but it's revolting :p I will be having psyllium husk (before food), charcoal (after food) and aloe vera (between meals) which is my failsafe travel solution. If that doesn't work I'll be requesting injections. Spatone and floradix have been suggested, but on this dose I'd need a lot of them.

congratulations... My GP asked me today whether I was still smoking (in case that was causing the breathlessness I guess) and OH looked surprised... So I haven't had one for over 2 years, and I didn't smoke much before then anyway - mostly when stressed at work so it varied wildly!

I need to try to sleep tonight as I have a trip to London tomorrow to have my hair cut. I missed the last appointment because I wasn't well and tomorrow will be hard work but I needs to be done before all next month's conferences!

Thanks for all the help today. I have posted progress on the other side :D

I just want to pop over and say 'i love this thread'.

I still class myself as part of this brilliant group of people and hope that some day I can help out or advise but in the meantime I will quietly take on board the sheer brilliance of the work that's is achieved.

Thanks again for your inspiration people, I achieved a little financial milestone today but in my eyes it was rather a large one.

    Keep up the good work!

I'm just popping over the other side as I think I've missed today's challenge due to achieving milestones!!

Eeek have just surfaced from a lovely warm bed and remembered the state the house is in and dh is on another 8-10 shift so guess it's up to me :(

Is already pouring down so is going to be an at home day and my arms are killing from painting the ceiling yesterday too. Going to get ipod and timer working and see how much and how quick I can get things done - kids are entertaining themselves today:):)
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000

  • Wow, Fantasia, that is brilliant on the ex-smoking front - and lovely to hear from you. :j:j

Finally feeling better after the oral surgery. I'll be catching up on all things domestic today, plus I'll tick off one or two of the de-cluttering challenges. Nice to have some energy back to get on with things!

I enjoyed my bacon etc so much last Sunday that I've invited a good friend for breakfast this Sunday. I'm salivating already! So by Monday order and ease will be restored chez Groatie :j:j

I hope everyone's weekend goes at least as well as hoped for and better than expected.

Hi Fantasia, great to hear from you and wonderful news on the none smoking front

HL, Good to see you here. I think I read that you didn't apply for any benefits. Good idea to talk to CAB, and also to your GP to see about a fitnote, as you are probably going to have to claim ESA contribution based, which you can do now as it is seperate from OH income, and possibly ESA Income Based when you are no longer with OH.

Income Based will ask about equity in house if you are not living there, but may ignore it for up to six months if the house is up for sale.

Greenbee, glad you got your photos sorted. Uploading pictures is one of the things I need to learn how to do.

Have a great time Souk. Bet you are looking great after your hols
