Thank you Jackie. Hope you dont mind but I quoted you in the Dr Oeteker Thread xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Seriously, have just woken up from a brief nap on the sofa & realised that I had sent posi/fundraising vibes to Marie? Sorry Molly am sending yours now
Also got some butter out of the fridge to soften before my nap & have just gone out into the kitchen to find the scales sitting nicely under a net cover & Princess Hissy (feline) eating the butter
I knew it was going to be a bad day when I switched the electric toothbrush on before putting it in my mouth, mirror smells nice tho' :rotfl:
Early night tonight methinks.
EMSF glad your DS is ok, my son had to have a GA for some dental treatment, he too was hilarious after although at 6'2 he was quite hard to contain.
Wishing you all a peaceful evening

Hi everyone
I'm new to posting on the site, although i've been lurking for ages.
Sounds like everyone has had a really busy day, you have put me to shame
I had to go to the doctors this morning as work has really been getting me down, however when i got in there i just broke down and he said that i wasn't to even think of going to work for at least a month, but suggests finding another job in that time so i don't worry about having to go back. If i don't feel any better in that time, he said to go back and we will re-asses.
So i came home and realised that we need to cut our spending down and get more organised, so as well as looking for a new job, that is my aim while i'm off.
I have made a start on our bedroom as it was a sty after re-fitting the bathroom, all the bits and bobs just ended up in there. So apart from 2 baskets of ironing on the bed, it's just about there.
I now have a pile of things for ebay, but i'll wait for a free listing weekend.
We went for a walk (without our dogs, very odd!) and went to the local shop for an ice lolly and to admire the view, we live in a pretty village and the view just chills me out, very relaxing.
I have a maths exam in 2 weeks so need to do some study0 -
I've given up on painting already. I can't find the mini gloss roller and the brush is shedding really badly. Grrr!0

Evening all!
Nothing OS going on here today, did the washing , tidied up then went and ordered a brand new car!
It is in an attempt to save on fuel costs, currently spending about £200 a month on petrol. It will spend whats left of my inheritance from earlier in the year, but we did what was needed to the house and I thought what the heck! Just hope I don't regret the spend tomorrow!RIP Iain

My husband did this (well it was a year old car) recently and it has saved him lots of money. And it is good to have one reliable car in the family. And isn't it OS to spend savings on something that will save you money in the long run?
Really interesting to read about other people's days. I cooked tea - sausage, courgette onion and potato bake with our own onions and courgettes from my cousins allotment. Did a load of laundry and think I might declutter my craft [STRIKE]room[/STRIKE] hovel for 15 mins before bed. Nighty nightGrocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100 -
