Hi all thanks for your good wishes and vibes. all went well. Worst part was when he went to sleep from the anaesthetic - I did tear up (first time under a general for him). Hysterically funny when he tried to walk and was still under the affects! His straight line was well, not straight!!! After a catch up nap for him and me he's much better, don't know how he'll sleep tonight. DS1 has had a good day too - pizza and cinema courtesy of our neighbour and her son - bunch of flowers on the way to her I think xxxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

evening all ,well we went to see my sis-in-law and gave her the birthday bits and I was so proud of my four lads they behaved beautifully .She has a grandson who is 6 and he was an absolute demon and was running her ragged.my lads sat their open mouthed at the way he behaved and even she said why can't you be like Jackie's grandsons. He is spolit by his Mum and he seems to have no bounderies at all.My little guys were gorgeous and remembered their please and thank yous without promting and I was very pleased at how four lads from 7 to 15 could be such a treat to take to someones house I texted my DD to tell her how well they had behaved .Her reply was 'I wouldn't expect them to be otherwise, or they wouldn't be allowed out of the house 'Bless them I think some nice ice cream is due their way as a little treat tomorrow .
Cough is slowly easing a bit thank goodness, only 13 more days till we're off to the Island for a fortnight.DD has got an unexpected day off this Wednesday so we will be sorting out our food bits I think. One line of washing done and dried and another load just gone on.I brought home the boys school uniforms to give them a good wash and check over for loose buttons and dropped hems on their trousers last night so all their shirts and tee shirts and sweatshirts went in the wash last night and all the trousers tonight .Means a big ironing marathon but I don't mind as it gets the stuff all ready for afyter the holiday.Only have to buy a couple more white shirts for Jack for his new school and about a dozen pairs of sock. The boys seem to go through them like no ones business. We like to get everything done before the holidays so there is no mad rush when we come back home as its all ready for them to wear.my DD bless her just does not sew at all not even a button so Granny gets the repairing jobs.
Right I'm off to have a rummage in the freezer for some dinner have a good evening everyone
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Dh has just got home ( he must have smelt my apple cake ) from removing mosaic tiles off DD1's bathroom walls, only managed to get 1 wall done, there were 2 layers of tiles, unfortunately the plaster has come off the walls as well, he also removed 2 layers of horrid polysterene tiles from the ceiling, again the plaster came off. So we'll have to have the whole room skimmed.
Sorted out DGD's toy box, so that's where my oven glove was ! I packed all of the toys she has outgrown and stored them in the garage, while I was out there I saw the plant food so did all the plant pots and flower beds.
Right then, off to cook pork chops, brocolli and dauphinoise pots for dinner, cream was ys, whilst watching Eggheads.
I am really quite touched by the amount of posts welcoming me back, didn't think my absence would be noticed, you're such lovely peeps. :A0 -
Evening all!
OH reckon's he'll be home about 10ish tonight, so late dinner for both of us, was going to make a roast type dinner but it's so hot, i'm not sure we'll want to eat it so may need to rethink that.
Walked the dog, (Well we went to the pub for a diet coke) read my book in the sunshine.
Need to make lunches for tomorrow and put some clean clothes away. I have no idea what i fancy, so might go to waitrose and see if they've got any salads on offer. and put my cheque through the door at the bank, wish i'd done that today!!
Then i plan to read more of my book and just chill out.

Goodness me, you've all been busy. I finished my nightmare week yesterday. now just have to catch up on all the things left to moulder.
JackieO, it is BOILING hot on the Island today so hope it will last until you get here.
Mollie, lots of loving thoughts coming your way. With all your friends
rooting for you something good must happen.
Friend has just dropped round some of her runner beans. I'm very jealous as mine are flowering but only just. Being choked by weeds probably isn't helping but it is far too hot to be out there weeding. looking forward to getting things under control again.I believe that friends are quiet angels

The buses here in Sheffield have heaters on! Does anyone know if buses can't turn it off or do the drivers here just like to watch us suffer? It was horrible!
Anyway, I need to go and finish painting our spare room. We're hopefully going to head to Ikea this weekend for some shelves and turn it into a stock pile room. I'm looking forward to it.0 -
