Morning all. Sat here all on my tod as saw lil sis off on her first leg of her bike ride home ( about 60 miles:eek:). It was lovely having her visiting and we did lots of lovely things. Went to Edinburgh shoppping, saw a very odd arthouse movie, sat in a bar drinking lovely cool drinks, even went out for a hill walk and cakes in a cafe yesterday...just really nice:D.

DD popped in for an hour for a shower and pack her suitcase and then just caught the bus for a week at her friends. She will pop home on thursday when she gets her exam results but that's all I'll see her all week:eek:.
I have got my first lot of washing out and the second in the washer. I think the sun will pop out this afternoon, so hoping to nip to garden centre to get some kale seeds to pop in the new bed with the french beans and chard. Will maybe order some winter radishes on line. Have a few ripe tomatoes to pick, and will pop some chard leaves in the salad for dinner with mackarel fishcakes..nom nom.

Hope everyone has a good and productive day:D

    Afternoon all

Still no internet at home  so am using work's during lunch :D. Hoping to be back on line by tomorrow night at the latest. Haven't read threads so hope you are all ok. I've missed not being able to post!

I had good weekend. Sat - went to Cardiff for shopping in Ikea and to see Grease. It wasn't as good as Mamma Mia in Jan, the atmosphere was lacking a bit, but still enjoyed. Sun was spent packing, moving stuff to new flat and going to tip.

OS wise - lots of washing on weekend, not much else as it's too messy with all the boxes to clean :rotfl:.

    Have a good day all

Seems like the sun is shining for lots of us today. It is a bit cooler here though so I'm quite pleased with that.
Have had a busy weekend clearing out 'stuff'. One bag ready for the charity shop so I'll go this afternoon. lots of clutter cleared! I've been reading through the old simplicity thread (the ancient old one!) and smiling at the memory of how my (old) house was...in need of being simplified! Anyway, it has encouraged me to clear up any hot spots of clutter and the place looks a lot better. Isn't it funny how your mind becomes less cluttered when you have clear spaces around you? maybe it's just me!
We went to the Royal Mile (Edinburgh) on Sat and managed to position ourselves in a pub (hehehe) so we could just pop out with the others and cheer and wave as the wedding party went by. I was impressed by the cheery waves of Camilla and also Beatrice. We also got lovely waves from the Queen. Kate's hat - well, we were at the side which was just like a big plate covering her face so not even a glimpse of her! Lovely to see Zara at 'our' side (where all folk were) both on the way up with her lovely veil and then coming back as a really happy looking bride. Went back into pub inbetween when the service was on so I felt quite merry by the end of it all!
Good luck for the hosp today Molly.
Good luck for the wee one's trip to the hosp emsf
Big pot of veggie bolognese on so that should last a few days I hope. Going off to sample it now!
    Have a good day all

Thankyou for the good wishes. I have been accepted for the operation but now have to get the funding which might be a huge barrier. Lots of forms to complete so please send me your prayers and vibes because I think it will be a rollercoaster for the next few months. Need to get some dusting done now. Hugs x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hi,
We too have sun & very warm it is too, did a few bits in the garden earlier but now it's too hot, even for DS who has been sorting out the path for me.
As I mentioned yesterday DM is coming for her annual visit this weekend, she phoned me last night to ask when I'd posted her tickets as she'd not yet received them! I sorted them all out online a couple of weeks ago but completely forgot to print & post them :o this has now been rectified & she should get them tomorrow. Whilst she is here I am going to take her to the library & teach her how to use the computers so that I can email her stuff like this & also photos of her gk's & ggk's etc.
Have just had a lovely long chat with my sister who lives in the Western Hebrides, she has a rare day with no b&bers so was busy batch cooking whilst we were on the phone, we have the same mind set & get on famously so all too soon an hour had flown by

Spicy sausage pasta for tea tonight courtesy of DP, & I have cleared my floordrobe so some OS going on,

Marie sending positive & fund raising vibes your way x
ESMF hope DS's hospital visit goes well x
Tru, am admiring your stance greatly x

    Hugs, spoons & hi5's wherever required x

    Hi all,

We're back from our little break in France, which was lovely, though it was raining on Tues. when we got there, and we'd left nice weather here:eek:Still it got better, even managed a dip in the hotel pool, nice meals and wine, can't be bad.The house was tidy too as DS1 thought his GF was going round so had a good tidy, and DS2 did the washing :jI did ours yesterday,so got an ironing pile now.

Back to reality, its dull and damp:rotfl:

Something easy for tea, quiche I think.I've been making 12yds of pink bunting for the baby shower on Sat,but I seem to have cut too many flags out so will make some more for decoration when our expected DGD sleeps over.I've also made a comfort blanket for s.o. my niece has met at baby massage class.I think I'm going to a big park with her and the baby tomorrow if its fine.It happens to be near where my brother lives so might see if his DD wants to come too.

Hope everyone has been ok,havent caught up with last weeks news yet.
Congrats to Elacla on being a Grandma again,we have our 1st DGD due next month.
Betheebee, nice to 'see' you again,& Ivyleaf too.
