Morning all! - just about to head out to work, getting the train as OH has borrowed my car. He's also taken my phone and house keys as i forgot to take them out! BIL is supposed to be watching the dog today, but he's not here at the moment. we shall see what i come home to! Forgot to drop the cheque off at the bank so need to do that later and a few more loads of washing.

Dinner is chicken and lemon potatoes.

Morning All,

Bit damp and overcast today so may leave any washing til tomorrow.
I am a bit achey from all the walking but determined to keep it up. I may not be able to diet but at least I can keep walking.
DS has got up and gone to work looking slightly less red so thats good:D
Molly thanks for the Dime bar recipe. I have a standing joke with my DH's best friend as he once caught me eating a dime bar in the car outside the newsagents before I got home:o so I shall make this and take it next time we are invited round:p:D
Need to go and post all my ebay stuff shortly and then a day helping DH in the office.

Morning all,

Beautiful bright day here :j, got a load of towels in the wm, will wait for dd to have her shower and will then put the rest in, should get them all washed and dried today.

Just taken dd a cup of tea in bed, she doesn't normally surface till much later, but its too nice to be sleeping all day, and we want to go to the local town to drop her CV off at the cafe's etc (again)

I need to do a food shop online today, dd can hoover through and I will clean kitchen, I have all but given up on the bathroom, as its being ripped out soon :j so I just give it a wipe over, and make sure the loo is clean

Lawns were mowed and strimmed yesterday, I need to do a bit of weeding, I am very jealous of those of you picking tomatoes, mine are still tiny, I think I may have put them in too late, hopefully we will have an indian summer to ripen them off.

OK better get on, have good days all xx

ps dd and I saw Paloma Faith at our local car boot sale yesterday, we were standing right next to her, Of course I knew exactly who she was and dd did not have to explain, and I was not looking more at the dishy chap she was with :rotfl:

Morning all,
Strpped the bed and re made it, sheets are hanging in the conservatory as it looks like it's gonna tip down. Made DH a packed lunch, sarnies and hm chicken pie. He's off to DD1's to take the tiles off her bathroom wall, they are mosaic and look awful, I think Stevie Wonder must have put them on ! I told him I couldn't help today as DD2 and DGD are coming here so lots of Peppa Pig puzzles to do.

I'll make them omelettes for lunch. I was given some Bramleys y/day so an apple cake is a must.

BB, Holly is DD2, my DGD is Charlotte, How clever of you to remember Holly, I have a memory like a sieve. Even if your DS is a rascal I bet he's lovely with it.

have been reading but not posting
i am on holiday this week but oh isn't as he doesn't get as many holidays as me
this morning i have wrapped some ebay parcels up and been and posted them
want to get cleaned through the house today
then i can do what i like with the rest of the week
just finishing my cup of tea and then start on the house
by the way i am going to be a grand ma again due in jan

i haven't posted for aaaaaages but having seen so many old friends posting again I really must try to get back into the swing of daily posting here again, as it did help me to get things done if I had told everyone what i was going to be doing

We've been doing some decluttering of paperwork over the weekend and i found water rates bills fron 2008 and 2009, and this morning I've just remembered there must be even older ones in a box in the cupboard so I'm going to get that out today and have a root through it. I expect to find that nothing that's in there atm needs to be there except our passports

Then I have to finish an essay for my OU course, which has been written but needs tweaking before i send it in.

Hester - glad you and OH are going to have a break, it will do you good, hope the weather stay fine for you.

jackieO - Sorry you aren't feeling great atm, but hopefully you will be all better again by the time you go to the IOW, and the fresh sea air will sort out any remnants of the cold.

Anniestar - thinking of you and i hope you enjoyed your birthday

esmf - so sorry to hear of DS's mishap, hope all goes well at hosp.

Morning All

I'm off to Tallinn today, just doing the last bit of washing to leave on the airer, DD can sort it out (or not!).

Cranky - your trip to the golden arches reminded me of going armed with vouchers for free cheeseburgers. No-one ate meat at the time so we ordered 5 cheeseburgers without the burger! Still, it was free cheese rolls all round!

RR - we had some nearly ripe tomatoes in a hanging basket. I took the basked off when I was painting and rested it on the ground. When I came to put it back half an hour later the hens had eaten them all!

JackieO - Hope the cold gets better, don't overdo things with the boys.

JackieG - Hope the wedding goes ok, will catch up with all the news when I get back.

Good morning everyone.

Lovely morning here in Scotland. Looked like rain earlier but has cleared up nicely.

So today, last of the holiday washing in the machine and for the line once done. I will do another chunk of the ironing too so my mother & sister ( who both love ironing:eek:....) won't roll their eyes as usual when they come to visit later! ( I have started hiding any that isn't done when I know they are coming.)

I'll also make another HM loaf this afternoon and try and finish my feezer / larder inventory, I got way laid yesterday afternoon and never finished it.
