  • Hi diary,

Still full of cold but I am feeling so positive this year its untrue. Im trying not to let little things get to me and Im managing to relax on a night and sleep well (Im sure thats because I haven't had wine). Mind you saying that I had a dream I was going to die in a tornado and woke myself up. I remember saying...'Im going to die now so just go with it'.

    Hi Dawny,
Really good idea about the wine glass thank you, will give it a go one night.x

Im going to do some exercise tonight as I haven't done any for 3 weeks and I feel like I need to get back into it, only Im not sure its a good idea with my cold but never mind.

Money is still the same, it looks like my car will cost me about £140. I need to ring and clarify today. I thought it was going to be more so thats good.

I treated myself to a nice watch for Christmas which came yesterday, not sure I am 100% happy with it so I am sending it back and ordering another one. Gone are the days of spending for the sake of it...it has to be right!

Really busy at work, I need to start concentrating more now. Last year was kind of a light one at work as they knew I had lots going on a home, this year is different so I need to get back up to where I was.

Why is it that at 3pm every day my nose blocks up? whats that all about.

  • Morning,
Well I did my exercise last night, didn't have any wine and slept like a log. I feel terrible this morning, whats that all about? My nose is blocked up and I feel like I could sleep for another week.

Checked accounts, no changes. I have tablets coming tonight and I paid to send my watch back last night, which means I have a tennar in my purse and £47 in my everything else pot to last 2 weeks.
I will only need one tank of petrol this month so I will have £60 left to put into another pot...probably best to put it in the car pot.

    Hi Mummy,
My car is going to cost about £130, which isn't bad considering. It could cost me more in the long run if the bit he fixes isn't the bit thats broken but at least its a start and I'll be on the way to having a fixed car.

Yey to Super Scrimpers...I'll look forward to that.

    Hi MrsP,
Aw I know, well I'm trying not to let it get me down. I feel so positive about this year, Im trying to stay upbeat and not let things get to me.

I don't have any major plans for the weekend, probably just the regular washing and cleaning. Will visit a couple of friends too.

  • Hi Diary,
Its very cold here today (-4.5 this morning) and the snow has turned to ice so its really dangerous.

Still got a cold but I popped to the post office this morning to pick up my nasal stuff which apparently is going to clear it up...will let you know if it works in a week.

My car went into the garage yesterday and has come out complete with new Cam Sensor (£115), which is a cheaper than I expected so Im happy with that. I just have to look out for the light coming on again, but if it doesn't then its all fixed.

I've got £40 in my everything else pot until pay day. Im not expecting to spend an awful lot over the next week and a half so I should manage.

Last night I was in an organising mood, so I arranged DD's snacks in the fridge for her lunches in date order so I know what to use up first lol (is that anal?)...hopefully it will save me some pennies and we will have less waste.

DD started swimming lessons on Monday and she loved it...bless her, I felt really sorry for her as she couldn't get her body up far enough to actually do the swimming movement so she spent most of the time walking round the water with her arm bands out, but she will get there.

Still no wine during the week, think I am in a routine now and it makes me appreciate a glass of wine or two on a weekend, I got my Zumba out for the wii last night and did an hours exercise...took my mind off the wine ha ha. (OMG it sounds like I have a drink problem :rotfl:)

    Evening Livvy,

Did you really go to the post office for your nasal stuff?! Im hoping you mean to pick up a parcel hahaha!!!

So glad the car is fixed, fingers crossed theyve cracked it this time.

My DD2 also started her swimming lessons on Monday! She goes at 6.30 which is a bit late but hoping they can move her to Sunday soon which is when DD1 goes.
At ours they use those long floats, woggles I think their called and it helps them keep their legs up. Do your instructors get in with them? Ours do.

Hope your ok anyway and cold sods off soon!! xx

  • Morning Diary,
OMG Its soooo cold here today, my car said -7.5.

    Hi Mummy,
How spooky? My DD's swimming is also at 6:30 which is late for her (do we live in a parallel universe ha ha), I had to wash and dry her hair too when we got home. She was asleep by 8:30 so I guess thats not too bad.

Yes the instructor went in with them and they all had their arm bands on bless them.

Lol, yeah I ordered the nasal stuff from the chemist online and picked it up from the PO.

I literally haven't stopped this week, I've had DD's swimming, my car in the garage, tidying yesterday and cleaning tonight (house viewing tomorrow night), Ive also fit in exercise two nights...my halo is polished.

I got home last night and my boiler had locked out...it had lost pressure so turned itself off (of all the nights it waits until its -5). I had to go and get the man from down the street to sort it out for me.

Ive made a start on next months shopping list (I can't believe we are half way through the month...a week and a day to pay day thank god). I need to do a freezer inventory but that will be at the weekend now as I won't have time until then.
Found some sausage rolls at the back so I will get those out to go in DD's packed lunches next week.

  • Morning Livvy,

Wow cant believe DD's swimming time is the same time as my DD... very bizarre!! They can get showered at ours and tbh I saw some people putting their kids straight in PJ's so I think I will follow suit! She had some supper when we got home and they were in bed for about 8 I think so not too bad.

Oh no to the boiler, we also have been having boiler problems haha! Not good though and glad the guy down the road sorted it for you.

Hope the viewings go well xx

  • Morning Diary,

    Its Friday WAHOOO.

I am so excited about chilling out with DD in our onesies tonight. House viewing is at 5 and DD gets back at 6. Ive told her she can make a mess then.

I cleaned last night and managed to change one of the downlighter bulbs myself...I went to change other ones and discovered I don't have any left, so I just won't turn those lights on lol.

Ive managed to exercise 4 nights this week, Im aching today.

    Hi Mummy,

    One week until payday YEY!

I couldn't get DD in the shower as there are only four and everyone else had hogged them so I quickly got DD dressed and bathed her at home...I had to drive in blizzards so got us home quick before we got snowed in. Should be easier next week if ex takes her as I can have her bath ready and waiting.

Its been snowing here aleady but only a little bit, wish it would s0d off.

  • Hi Diary,
Quick weather report first as normal ha ha...its cold and wet but we haven't had any more heavy snow since Friday night\Saturday. I must say though, driving to work was a bit worrying as it was really slippery.

Update on house viewing: They absolutley loved it and as soon as they get a buyer on their house they will be putting an offer in :D. They have a viewing tonight!

Money wise, am skint. I used my half price play and free cuppa voucher at the Wacky on Saturday, the kids shared a meal and my friend and I got two meals for a tennar so I was really pleased with my saving. The whole day was £13.

Tonight DD is at her swimming lesson (ex taking her this time), so she should get in about 7:15 which gives me time to do my aerobics and have some tea...and maybe even have a bath too.

Next month I am watching the pennies, its a good month money wise with the free council tax month and ex finally paying his car (although I am paying more into pension) so I should be able to build up a few pots. I will probably be better off counting NSD's from pay day to pay day.
