  • Aw well these things can't be helped, just something us mums have to do...part of school life really isn't it? I love girls with long hair...I don't think you should let her cut it just to make it more manageable, I did that when I was 10 and regretted it so much.

Shame MIL acted like it was the end of the world, no reason to stay at home is it?...share them round lol, after all some one has shared them with your DD.

Yes that's my view - she got them from someone - it happens at that age particularly to little girls but there we go.... Oh well done now. Need to try and plan some treats for her to make up for the lack of them this week.... and all the tears from the knots in her hair. I am tempted to cut her hair tho as she is useless at brushing it - and cries buckets regularly if you do it for her.... which is partly why I haven't noticed earlier she had a problem.

    Let's hope treatment tonight worked....

My DS has long hair and it was a battle to brush the knots through. We bought
A tangle teezer (about £10 on amazon though boots/eBay have
Them). Best thing we bought - saves me a fortune on de tangled
He happily brushes his hair now - so must less hassle

  • Morning Diary,

Aw that sounds good, a tangle teezer...will keep a look out for those, DD always has something sticky in her hair from nursery.

Off to Mr A today with my list. We are a bit behind schedule this morning as we managed to get a sleep in...8 oclock YEY.

Im at an engagement party tonight, everyone is a bit over excited as all the girls haven't been out together for ages, Im not planning on drinking too much as I will be up with DD in the morning and I don't do hangovers very well anymore.

I just need to stick in budget this month and its going to be a bit tight on the entertainment front.

    Morning Livvy,

Just popping in for a quick catch up!

SH, my DD1 caught them from a child at playgroup when she was just 3 and passed them to my DD1 who was 8 months old . Mortified isnt the word, and we didnt even notice my mum did :o. You need to keep looking even now as if you miss one egg the whole process will just start again. Since then weve used tea tree shampoo and conditioner and fingers crossed weve not had any since despite knowing theyre in the class through letters home.

Livvy, hope you enjoyed the engagement party and arent suffering today xx

    Hi Livvyloo,

Just having a catch up as I havent been on here with being off work. Hope you are feeling better, and the present and panto situation with OH . If I were you I would refuse to book him onto anything unless he gives you the money up front.

Hope you had a good night last night. We too were out at a party. Im ok this morning. I didnt have a big drink, but still have a slight headache.

We done on winterifying your car. DH and I were talking about doing this the other day, but havent gotten around to it yet - you've prompted me to get on to it ;), and the clothes pot - what a fab idea! I need to go through the wardrobe's and sort out what winter clothes we all have and put some summer things away. Im hoping we can get away without buying too much extra - few jumpers and cardigans should do it I think.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Em x

  • Morning everyone,

I am not feeling the best today, have had some toast and milk for brekkie. I came straight home after the do without going to the after party round the corner, got in about 1 but DD has been up through the night and I drank that much coke I couldn't sleep....with vodka in of course, but it was only £2.30 for a drink so this morning I was happy to find I only spent £20 (that was including minibus).

Mr A's yesterday was £70, I got a bit extra than what was on my list (including a whoopsied beef joint). I also bought DD a dress and a Peppa hat and scarf set for nursery so she doesn't ruin her good things or lose them. I was very pleased with myself tho as DD has Huggies pullups for bed, they are normally on offer but yesterday they were full price so I got Mr A's own instead for £2 cheaper...think there are more in the pack too.

DD and I made rice crispie cakes yesterday afternoon, I got the best offer on the chocolate as I compared the prices and the weight ha ha.

I need to catch up on Strictly and X factor today.

Em, I too bought a couple of cardis and some tights to stretch my summer wardrobe into winter. Clothes pots are great aren't they? I have tried them out twice this week.

Mummy, lice mustn't like tea tree...will try it. Tea tree is good for allsorts isn't it so it wouldn't surprise me if it was scaring little blighters off.

Happy Sunday eurgh, why do I do it?

    xx

PS came home with a £2 coin for my savings!

  • Hi LivvyLoo
Hope you dont mind me subscribing, you sound like you are doing so well. I'm an ex lurker who needs desperately to get back into the swing of things. One day I'll do my own diary and update my very out of date signature, but taking baby steps, and reading others is helping me first.
    Keep up the good work.

  • Morning Diary,
I am working from home today as MIL is having her hair done. One good thing is I got to log on at 8 exactly so I can log off at 4:30 to get ready for tonights party.

We are going to the Wacky Warehouse for a party for under 5's. DD is dressed up as a pirate already and she is really excited.

I had a NSD yesterday as OH bought me a MacD's for my hangover. We went for a walk in the afternoon and DD rode her bike all the way to the park and back, she loved it and looked so cute.

I need to update my spreadsheet today with weekend spends and meal plans. I got some lovely fresh pizzas from Mr A's on Saturday so I halved them and froze them and I also manage to freeze a few carrots before they went off and some brocolli.

I have a mountain of ironing to get through at some point....perhaps do that on my lunch break ha ha.

Feel a hundred times better for last nights sleep, Im out again on Friday night too...I'm getting too old.

    xx
