    Hi Livvy

You have been doing fab and it's such a lovely feeling to be in control isn't it? Which would be my concern if you went down the track OH is wanting you to. you seem like the kind of person who feels stable when organised and in control - if you do things OH way - ie not watching pennies here and there as you said etc - they you won't know where you stand and won't sound as happy as you do now. Just my opinion :)

Also kids need routine and stability - a break from this occasionally such as holidays and days out is great but again these usually have to be planned unless a nip out somewhere, not to mention the financial aslepct of holidays and days away have to be known in advance to for ppl in our situ's.

You've been doing faba nd I am sure you will continue to do so, stick to your guns as yellow (I think) said. You won't be happy otherwise. Not to say we can't compromise but it has to be an agreement - not being forced into things.

oooh..think I just went on one there! Sorry!

    Hi diary\everyone,
I feel a bit happier in myself today...think its coz I have one of my new dresses on and I found a blouse in my closet to put underneath which goes perfectly ha ha.

I have complained at nursery about my car and the Manager is going to inform the driver and pass on my details. I have left the blue paint on my car for proof. It will cost me about £300 to put right.

Just bought a pair of shoes for work!!!! Actually it was essential because the ones I have got are far too high and my feet keep slipping out now I have tights on, the new shoes have a block heel so will be better for me on the nursery run and probably save me breaking my neck, Debenhmas £25.20 as there is a sale on and I got a free delivery code.

Thanks for your comments SH, I did try and get my name off loan but he had to take a new one out and then got refused. He is in a better position now with money so reckons he is going to try again after Christmas. Will definitely approach it again though, I kind of make it like its for him and not me.

You sound like me Yellow, burying your head in the sand to avoid confrontation. I am worried about the person coming after me about my car now...might have to get OH on the case coz he doesn't seem to care about confrontation.

Thanks DF, its in my nature to have routine and how can you change that? OH wants no routine what so ever and I can't live like that at all. Infact I probably couldn't no matter how much some one wanted me to. Your right about the days out and holidays too, how on earth could either of us afford that? OH lives in dream world because we live opposite a millionnaire and next door to a couple not far off. You didn't go on....all my diary posts are a bit long winded lol.

Checked my bank accounts and updated spreadsheet, I haven't bought any extra groceries this week and Paypals money has gone in so I have transferred that to DD's account.

DD had her pics taken at nursery the other week, we got a price yesterday and they are soooo expensive. The best deal for the money is £36 for 3 large photos...day light robbery or what?

Still haven't heard anything else from PPI claim...8 weeks ago today I applied!

Hi LL - I think I've lost my tactful hat for the day - so please ignore me if I'm out of line

why do you need the nursery photo - unless you love them - don't bother. I'm sure you have lots of other lovely photos of your children

In general I would be worried - as it sounds like you and your OH have very different approaches to family life and money.....

    Hi Livvy,

I didnt think that was too bad for a professional photo!! Ours are slightly cheaper at around £25. In my less MSE days weve spent over £100 on photos !!

Could you buy a frame for them to go in and pass them off as pressies for family?!

Hope the car gets sorted xx

We have the same price for our photos here and I've included them into the budget - I know what SH is saying - we don't NEED them however I am prepared to budget for them as I love the photos they take. Each to their own I suppose.

Dh needs to be on board with paying the debt off - what are his plans? Is it all loans and he's happy to pay the mnthly amount until they are gone?

After Christmas I'd make him apply for a loan in his own name again to get your name off that one and then take it from there. See if he tries to get more than he needs to cover the exisiting loan - it may give you an indication of if he wants to pay the debt off or just take on more.

    Morning All,
    Glad its Friday!

Its freezing here today. Heating was on for an hour this morning but its starting to get cold in the house just before we set off (its probably just me thinking its cold because I feel the cold so badly).

Checked my bank accounts and all is well, the £20 cheque I sent for my bday has gone in. The Bills account is £77 lower that it should be though because I have paid 3 car insurances in one month! Sheilas wheels have taken 2 payments for their first installment and Morethan have taken their last one. Luckily Sheilas wheels is over 10 months so this shouldn't happen next time.

HM egg mayo sarnies today, am really pleased with myself as the sell by date for them is tomorrow and I only have one egg left so no waste there.
Stuffed mushrooms for tea...looking forward to that.

The photos are lovely, I know they are expensive but the pics I normally take of DD are with her pulling a silly grin. These are natural and I don't really have any of her looking like that. OH said to take the money out of her budget to pay for them. I could do that really as she has enough in there. My boss said to get one of each and the put them on the printer at work because our printer is really good.

OH came last night, not sure why I am bothering really now. He accused me of checking up on him coz I rang to see where he was at 6:15 (DD goes in the bath and bed at 6:30) and then he went in a mood coz DD ignored him when he asked her what she had done at nursery (so childish). You're right SH, we want completely different things out of life and a relationship so I need to take all this into consideration.

Tbh I think OH thinks that some fairy is going to come and pay his debts off (yes he only has loans now). He hasn't made any headway in paying them so far so not sure how he thinks he can do it without budgetting.

On my own in the office today...no mates

Hi LL - if you love the photos then go for it! I have a gorgeous one of DS in his first year of nursery where he is beaming away (he's 13 now) and it made me feel positive about all the times I'd been criticised for being a working mum - as you could see how much he enjoyed nursery just beaming out of him. Another one he looked sulky on... I did buy one but the not that many - I can't remember the photos after that... I don't even buy all the school ones as sometimes it just isn't worth it - my MIL goes mad tho as she loves having the school photos. I am lucky enough that a friend is an amateur photographer and to cheer me up this year she did a big photo shoot for us all... so we got loads of lovely pictures I still need to choose some and print them tho

with regard to your OH it sounds tough.

Hi SH, my mum bought all my school photos apparently but all I remember is the one she didn't buy because it wasn't a very good one. You're right though, I hardly see DD as I work full time and she loves nursery so why not get them whilst I have the money in the fund. Aw thats lovely that your friend took some photos of you all as a gift.

I have had to ring Next today as the dress I bought DD is really short (age 3-4) and MIL said that the dress my neice has is aged 2-3 and its longer. Anyway I asked to speak to the store manager (coz the man on the phone kept repeating it was down to the managers disgression) who said to bring the dress back tomorrow as it probably has the wrong age tag on.

Not sure where to go now with OH, think its a dead loss.

So sorry to hear about how things are with OH livvyloo must be really hard for you, Hopefully he will come around to your way of thinking.
Glad you got some nice shots of DD, I am a bit of a mug when it comes to pics of DD. I've got a fab pic of her over the fireplace she is about 18 months old and it's called "candlelight" apparently with light just on one side and shadow on the other (looks nicer than I'm making it sound!!) but I cringe at how much we paid for it 400.00:eek: pre MSE days!!! I'm a fool! :rotfl:
