Glad things are coming together.... and that the party went well
Big decision re OH.... I would be tempted to talk to him about money as part of your decision making as it won't be good if him moving back in interferes with your good intentions... It would be helpful to have him on side....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks peeps.
I am just getting the last bits together for DD's birthday tomorrow, all her pressies are in front of the fire and I have found last years banner as couldn't get one in the shops today.
SH, I am going to suggest to OH we keep the money as it is, he will have him and I will have mine...I don't think that will ever change now.
Spent £35 again in Aldi's, though I bought alot of things not on list. The problem with being on my own is I don't eat as can't be bothered to cook when DD eats at nursery so I have lost a lot of weight, so trip today was to buy things easy to cook and eat. I have spent £205 on food budget for the month but still have £25 left for savings.

Glad your DD enjoyed her party, she's lucky to have such a lovely Mummy
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Livvyloo's DD!
Good job on the eBay and supermarket spends to!xI'll get there!0 -
Hi LL - perhaps you could batch cook for yourself and freeze meal size portions to encourage you to eat even when it is just for one. Omelette's, porridge, jacket spud and salad are also easy meals for one and soup of course... Hope you find a solution - remember you need to look after yourself so you can look after your little one. You deserve time (and spend) for you too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Diary,
Thanks Mrs P, DD had a lovely time yesterday. We opened all her pressies and then went for tea and a play at the soft play area. I bought her another cake (gateaux from Aldi) and the waitress brought it out with her candles on to blow out again (the kids at the party blew them out on Sunday ha ha).
She was absolutely shattered last night so I let her have one more go round the house on her scooter and then bed in her new pjs. She got so many pressies and she loves them all, I need to sort out the Thank you cards today...going to look online for free print outs.
I do tend to do some batch cooking SH, its just that with it being the end of the month we are running a bit low...I love it when I have lots of batched cooked food in the freezer, so much easier for me and then I do eat. I will update my menu plan and order a Tesco shop in for the weekend...plan some more home cooked food.
I have some good news regarding DD's nursery, she is currently at a nursery that costs me £407 a month (3 days a week), but when she starts her free half day place I was hoping to make her full time at the nursery as they knock the free hours off my bill. The Manager has worked out a monthly bill for me where DD will be there full time (including school hols) and it only works out £440. Which means I don't have any more hassle of finding her some where to go when MIL can't look after, and its just up the road from my work. So feel happy about that as its only £17.00 extra each for me and OH.
Payday Friday WAHOOO! :j
This is the money as it stands ready for Friday:
Current account - £24.28 left (it would have been more but OH and I splashed out and paid for everyones food at DD's birthday yesterday).
Food budget - 23.98 left
£126.88 saved in the car fund
£890 in holiday fund (if we don't have a holiday I will be sharing this out between budgets and loans)
£55 in cosmetics
£75 in DD clothes fund (bought her a cardi today though so it will go down)
£36.38 in Clothes and Entertainment (had to buy myself a new pair of leggings also today though as I discovered a hole in my old faithfuls yesterday )
£305 in Christmas fund.
So all is looking rosy and I think I have finally set a budget which I can stick to. Its only taken me 36 years ha ha (almost 37
)
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Hi DF,
I know I am gutted about my leggings but I do everything in them so I am going to save the holey ones for cleaning and housework and then my new ones can be for best...its not like I can repair them either as hole is in the knee.
Money in current account isn't as good as I thought, when I updated spends diary I remembered ebook for DD £5, softplay for 2 kids £5 and P&P £11 so I have about £10 left...which will be spent on lunch out tomorrow. But the main thing is I kept in budget even though I had DD's party and I haven't added to debt in any way.
HM chips and stuffed mushrooms for tea...yummy!
Its so cold outside, I went to water my tomatoes and couldn't wait to get in. Im now sat in bed with PC warming up, having a chill out night tonight as I haven't stopped for the last 4 days.
I managed to get some tape for parcels from work today...will save it for christmas pressies too.

Afternoon Diary,
Do you know what? I think I am having a good week this week...don't faint!
I have just got some quotes for my car insurance and I have estimates of £37 a month...a saving of £23 a month!! Wow! Plus I can get it through Quidco and get £23 cashback....YEY.
The Book People were in the works canteen too at lunch time and I managed to get 3 Christmas pressies and birthday pressie for the kids...£18!!! A saving of £17....how good is that? Budget was £35.
Last night I ordered Thank you cards for DD's pressies...£10 for 40, they are all written so just have to write her name on them all which saves me a huge job.
Feeling quite pleased with myself as my Christmas shopping has now officially begun and its Pay Day tomorrow YEY!!!
