  • Morning Livvy

I hope tonight gives you what you are looking for.

KM - I love that phrase - I am going to apply that to my debt busting as it's true for all areas. Livvy - maybe even say that tonight to him and see if he realises something's got to give if you are going to be happy?

Good news on the MOT! Mine's due in Jan...mind you, saying that I am questioning myself now...August rings a bell!

  • Aw I love that saying, it makes me think about how I can do things differently to get where I want to be. You're right DF you can use it in all situations.

I just wish I knew what I wanted with OH, is it the perfect opportunity to start my new life and tell him to go, or do I give it one last try? Where is my crystal ball when I need it?

Still not sussed why I have more money than I thought in current account, best not spend it just yet ha ha.

  • If there is a chance you can make it work then maybe that is the way to sway as even if it doesn't work out in the future you will never have the 'if only I had tried' voice needling you however if you throw the towel in for definate now then there is a chance you could be wishing you had tried and it will be too late maybe..

At least if you gave it one last try and the worst happens you will always be able to tell DD that you did everything to stay as a family but it became healthier and happier for us all to be apart rather than thinking/telling her I should have tried harder..

Given that, I know absolutely nothing about your relationship and the above comments could be unfair but it was just to give you something else to think about.

Limbo is not an easy place to be in life...once you know one way or the other you can put your 'whole' into it...good luck with your talk and your decisions.
  • Morning diary,

KM thank you so much for your advice, OH didn't come last night because I didn't want to be pressured into anything. I kind of made my mind up that it probably is worth one more chance...even just to see for a month and then review. The problem I have is that I don't trust his intentions of moving back in, I believe its so he can have more rights to DD and the house if we split again (as he said he won't move out this time even if we split)...wonder if its just because all my trust has gone.

I have been and checked accounts today...OCD, I have £60 left in food budget as I always put the money in for £230, but for the last couple of months I have kept the actual spends to £200, I feel a bit reluctant to lower the money I put in the pot just yet as I am always worried I go over and need to get the money from elsewhere.
The money I have left over from my groceries (should be around £40 all being well), will go into the car pot to cover November's big spends.

I was just saying to my best friend this morning that I can't believe how I feel so in control with my money, its such a massive difference from March when everything was all over the place. Just a bit of budgetting and planning and careful shopping has worked wonders, I will never be in that hole I was in before.

I have £99 left in everything else pot as the extra money was to pay for my dress ha ha, plus I need to pay the last £30 off DD's party...so £69 left. I don't think I need to pay an awful lot out before pay day so hopefully should have a bit left over there too.

Just got to think of something lovely to do for the afternoon of DD's birthday, I guess she won't want to go out on the morning as she will be busy playing with her new toys.

  • Hi diary,
Well I have been up since 7 so made myself useful. This morning I popped to the shops to get 2 christening pressies (£15) and a card and pick up a parcel for another birthday which is coming up on Monday...September is a busy month for me.

I have been and put the grass stuff on the lawn as its quite bare in places...that was my B&Q's own stuff. Have washed and dried the clothes for ebay only the blooming washer has pulled the pocket off a little cardi, hopefully can sew it back on, just not sure my sewing skills are quite as good as Mr and Mrs Mamas and Papas. Got some shake n vac from the Coop and sprinkled it round the smelly carpet, lets see if that works on the unpleasant odour.

Made a chilli this morning for DD and I and she loves it...I tend to go steady with the chillis so it isn't very spicy.

Everyone I have spoken to says I should give it a go with OH as otherwise I will never know. I think I will make my final decision after the chat we are going to have one night this week, knowing my luck it will be the wrong one. What ever the weather I will never share my money or get a joint loan again with anyone.

Tonight I need to iron and take pics of stuff for ebay after a Skype to my Bud in Doha. Am so rock n roll.

    Happy Saturday!xx

  • Thanks MrsP, Im having a little battle with myself over this decision...I am the worlds most indecisive person anyway, its all a bit too much pressure.

  • Morning Diary,
Well DD's party was a huge success, the kids absolutley loved it. There was balloon modelling, snow machine, bubble machine, dancing and a glitter tattooist which I paid extra for. The DJ is great with the kids and the cake was perfect, so I was happy.

After the party we went off to another party 2 hours later, just enough time for DD to open 5 pressies. Think its going to take a week for her to get through the rest....she thinks Farmer Christmas brough them all for her ha ha...bless.
We stopped at MacD's on the way home for a happy meal because DD hadn't eaten anything with all the excitement. It was a lovely treat.

Its her birthday tomorrow and I am off for the day, I think we will spend the day playing and then out for tea with family and a little play in the soft play area.

Popping out for groceries at lunch time to Aldis...I don't want to spend more than £20 but I can't think of anything I need except milk and some balloons.

I am running low on freezer food meals so will need to do an inventory before I order my Mr T shop to come on Saturday or Sunday, I want to get chance to go to Pound stretcher and Aldis before I get my shopping though as I only get from Mr T's what I can't get cheaply.

I am very pleased with the way my budgets have gone this month, I have money left in every account including my everything else account so hopefully next month will be as successful...or even more successful.

Made £36.23 on Ebay last night and I listed another 8 items, that will pay for DD's winter coat.

Guess what? Carpets don't smell anymore YEY!!!
