Morning Diary.
Morning Mummy, yes I have testing the heating and it is now all working as it should....wahoo! Am very pleased with myself ha ha.
Yesterday we went to the farm for a couple of hours and had a lovely day, was a bit upset as one of the wallabies had died just before we got there...poor thing. DD went on a pony for a ride and was so excited bless her. She also went on the bouncy castle for about 3 minutes...both of which I had to spend extra on but it was only really another £2.50 and was worth it as she had a great time.
OH took DD out when we got home and I mowed the lawn whilst they were out. OH informed me that the Florida holiday was too expensive but he would look to see if he could find something cheaper for us all to go on. Im not impressed as really don't want to go with him anyway, was only going to Florida as wouldn't be alone with him...sometimes I think he doesn't get the whole situation but then when he left he went to give me a kiss and remembered so maybe he does???? Anyway I'm not going to mention it again, would rather not go anywhere.
Not sure what to do today, DD gets bored staying in all day but the weather isn't very nice...not raining though. We could maybe go for a walk and a play in the park.
DM is coming tomorrow to help me do the rest of the garden, the weeds are terrible. I need to get some bits from B&Q as the bulbs have blown in the spot lights on the landing and also the shower needs a new plug hole as the silver has come off from the all the bleach I have used to unblock it.
My new boots came today, not bad since I didn't pay for delivery. They are lovely but think I might need some heel grips as they tend to slip a bit when I walk.
So I will go for a NSD today and update my diary with yesterdays spends.

Right, I am going to make a red thai curry for tea and a peanut dipping sauce for thai prawn crackers...get me! I have got all the chicken out of the freezer as I will cook it all and freeze it in portions.
Today I am going to get my winter coat out and de bobble and hair it...I also have a wool dress I love which is covered in bobbles so will sort that out too. That will save me buying new.

Good Evening Dairy,
Right, where do I start? On a good note...ebay sales made £52 yesterday!!! YEY. Bad note...didn't manage to get any new listings on...I always miss free listings.
Good note...went to Next yesterday and only spent £8 on 2 new pairs of tights. Would have kept last years but holes in the crotch is not a good look!!!!
Good note....went to B&Q, I spent £26 on B&Q's own brand lawn care, B&Q spot light bulbs, a 50p shower plug hole (more about that later) and a nice new wicker style box for all the shoes beside the front door.
BAD NOTE...Shower leak (well not exactly a leak), more like a flood. Water dripping through the kitchen ceiling and all carpets soaked in bedroom and closet! The pipe underneath had become disconnected when new plug hole put on.
Fortunately after body went into panic mode, I managed to get hold of a family friend plumber who is replacing the whole pipe and plug hole £12. I rang the insurance and they said £100 excess for carpet and £100 excess for kitchen ceiling...what???? I think not.
So I spent 4 hours Vax drying the bedroom and closet carpets which are kind of damp now rather than totally saturated so my toes squelched in and the kitchen ceiling is now dry. So all in all 50p wasted and £12 spent on new pipes (not too bothered as it needed replacing anyway).
Kitchen ceiling does have stains but I have had a little plan about that, will contact the builders tomorrow and praps stretch the truth a little. If plan comes off should cost £0 if not...then a pot of paint.
So tonight I am chilling...whilst still waiting for plumber. I managed to get all my ironing done whilst DD out of the way earlier so at least I don't have that lovely job waiting for me. Oh and I found 2 shower gels in the airing cupboard when getting all the towels out to dry the carpet.
Back to work tomorrow, days holiday wasted but its just one of those things. Hope plumber hurries up am shattered.

Morning Diary,
Hi SH, thanks for popping in and thank you for your good wishes.
I'm back to work today, all seems OK on the shower front....was a bit wet on the carpets this morning but I survived.
Plumber turned up at 8:45 last night and didn't go until 9:30 (we were chatting as havent seen him for years), I was so tired by the time he left and I am covered in bruises from all my DIY antics so got straight into my bed.
This morning I have bought dog food...buy one get one half price. I realised we won as tennar on the lottery at the weekend (when I was doing my bank account daily checks) so thats paid for most of the plumber charges.
I have had to do 3 washing loads of towels seeing as I used them all soaking up the water out of the carpets, it was awful here this morning so had to put the tumble dryer on....not that it is much use as its a washer\dryer and doesn't seem to get things stone dry.
Gave the water board a call as I believe our meter readings should have gone down with OH not living in the house...he used to wash the car and water the lawns religiously so fingers crossed the monthly payment should go down, the lady said November when the new bill is issued.
Have had a terrible headache so sorry for the boring post...can't think straight today, will check in again later.

Sounds like you are still doing well... Have you looked to see if you could get any free fruit on freecycle or similar... That might also help with ekeing things out.... I've had apples from freecycle before nowAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Oooh I haven't had a look, thank you I will def go and see as my DD likes apples too.
Right I have come to bed, headache seems to have eased, not sure if it was the ultra strong tablets I took or all the green and fruit tea I drink at work, I don't tend to drink as much at home so maybe dehydrated.
Carpets are still damp, I have got the fan on in the closet to see if I can dry that out. I am worried it will smell as there aren't any windows in there.
Most Ebayers have paid except one, so will have to wait until Friday now to post...am not making 2 trips as a waste of petrol.
I went out to water my tomatoes and they had all fallen over in the wind, I nearly blew away too. DD's trampoline is wedged on its side against the fence...will leave it there as it looks secure.
Mananged to get another 2 replies for DD's party whilst at nursery today. I don't know how many to cater for as there are still 10 outstanding replies, the RSVP was last Sunday so do I take it they are coming or they're not? The cater charges by the head.
Got a big hole in my new tights already...great!
Think I might have to go to bed and wake up when I am not such a disaster area.

Hi LL - don't know on the party front... I would never be brave enough to hire so many... I would ask if you can book for less and just pay extrra if they actually turn up... I've managed to do that with bowling before now...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
