    Yes! I found this:

    http://www.navman.com/Documents/InCar/EN/User_Manuals/PiN_SPiN_Series/Navman_Manual_PiN570_EN.pdf

    A mere 116 pages.

    So I've switched it on.

Does anyone know if all Tom Tom verison are compatible with Pocket PC 2002 or do you need to update that.

I have an Ipaq with that and Tom Tom 1 or 2 but its rubbish, good in its day, just never got round to upgrading

Has anyone used the microphone recorder function yet, and if so, how the heck do you do it!

i find it very slow to lock on to satelits as well. can't even get a signal if sitting in my room. does it has prob with lost of signals when there is heavy rains?

Time to first lock from a cold start is quite long on nearly all gps receivers.

Don't expect to get a signal/signal lock in a building.

Yes, this is true for all PDA-based systems where the TomTom software is held in temporary memory. Make sure you don't let the battery die completely and you'll be fine. Keep a back-up of your files on your PC and you'll have the option to quickly restore your data using ActiveSync in case the files do become erased.

This isnt necessary, all you need to do is use the backup software already on the PPC - called something like LX-Backup, this creates a backup onto your mem card, then if your battery goes flat, switch it back on, use LX-Backup to restore from your mem card and off you go again.

i understand the first lock will take longer. but my 2 years old bluetooth receiver can get signal in my room while the pda has to flip its' gps face plate towards the window before it can get signals.

does anyone has tried it's receiver strength under thick clouds or heavy rain so far?

Excellent, thanks for that....now where do I get TT5 for much cheapness lol

Saying that my Ipaq seems to freeze up a lot currently, done the hard reset etc but it's still been terrible.

Does it need updates like Windows does all the time as I have never updated it since I got it some time ago
