I had a quick bath this morning, becuse I took Percy for his last car ride first thing - Hes happy now, where the hare is real and doesnt run fast (and likes being chased!) bless him.

No UUs from my quick sloosh, but I reckon by next week I will have seen off the lush soap....

  • Hello all,
One highly-anticipated IN today - HIWTK soap from Lush. I'm down to an inch of a BS strawberry mini body wash, so I was officially in need of new toiletries! I was very tempted to buy the Honey farm gift set but restrained myself to just the chunk of soap (costing nearly £5!!). I've tried it out and it does smell nice but not quite as 'honey-like' as I was expecting. Unfortunately I also picked up a copy of The Lush Times and have already earmarked a few things for when I use up other types of toiletries... :)

    Hi all!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Hugs to all that are not feeling so good.

    2 UU for me:
Nivea violet senses double effect anti-perspirant-100ml WNBA- smelled okay, but didn't work on really hot days :o Hot days?... geez...they're a distant memory now.... On to trying a Dove beauty finish 250ml.

Olay Complete care multi-radiance daily illuminating UV cream-50ml. WIBA? No idea if I could buy this, my mum gave me this from a gift set she got at Christmas time. It was nice, smelled good! OH did help me out a bit with it though...he manages to use moisturiser so quickly, takes me forever to finish one. Just don't know how he does it! Trying hard to finish a 30ml Clinique moisture surge.

Just looked up the Olay...yes I can buy it, maybe at some point in the future.

Naffed off and don't know what to do with myself ......but a couple of UU's to report :undecided:-

Nivea Visage face wipes - were a facebook freebie - WNBA - prefer Mr T's Vitamin E cheapys (although I don't think they make them anymore:()

The conditioner from my sublime mousse hair dye - only condition once a week (if I remember) as hair is sooo damned greasy at the moment:mad: Already got another from last time I dyed the old mop!!

S & G Flake away (large tub) - I got on quite well with this and have a couple of small pots in the stash but have moved on to the Breakfast scrub (after your recommendations :D) - also from my stash (of course;)).

I've decided that all my moisturisers are too greasy for my face so I'm going to use them on my feet!!!!! I think I need a lotion rather than a cream so has anyone any recommendations for greasy skin, large pores, blackheads with rosacea (gawd what lovely picture I just painted of myself:eek::eek::eek:)

:naughty: Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies

Clinque DDM gel, Liz Earle light ( use these).

Came top in a glossy mags choice for greasy/combination skin.
  • MrsE, thanks for that. I have started using Dermalogica for sensitive (blotchy!) skin and I really like it.

I found the Clinique DDM to be the worst thing ever for my skin. Very disappointed.

I am slowly getting there with the UUs. Have a foundation to use up which will surely not last the month. Please!

I'm having to stay strong with the Ins, what with all the offers and promotions on. Thanks to this challenge though and various other ones, I have the prospect of actually finishing the month in credit!

BTW, MrsE, just noticed your sig, very thought-provoking.

I don't like the regular one, just the new gel.
  • Morning all :hello:

I have a uu, Elemis Frangipani moisture melt, I love the smell of this`and the oil is really moisturising so probably would buy again, but not for quite some time given the amount of body lotions/butters still in the stash.

I also have an IN to confess to, I bought Elle magazine with the grey Mavala nail varnish freebie, this takes the current nail varnish stash (that I can find) up to 69 bottles  .
I painted my nails yesterday with the MC ciate freebie 'my fair lady' , it's a very soft peachy beige colour (i've tried to add photo but I can't :o)

    Hello ladies,

Budge up on the naughty step, I'm coming with my suitcase!!

My fail is of epic proportions...... I am deeply ashamed.

    Gifts:

    2x BS Moringa gift cubes
1x BS Sweet Lemon gift bag

    Necessary purchases:

Cerutti 1881 perfume 100ml. My HG perfume and my bottle is now less than 1/3 full.

Alberto Balsam tea tree conditioner - no conditioners in stash

Superdrug tea tree & mint shampoo - really like this product & none in stash

L'oreal Casting Creme Gloss hairdye in Mahogany - my fave hairdye & this colour was out of stock on my last shopping trip in Germany, none in stash.

    Very unnecessary purchases:

This is where the fun starts....

M&S nail varnishes in gold & lilac (the lilac is divine. I have it on now & can't stop admiring it!)

    M&S lipgloss - good buy at £3.50

    M&S purple eyeliner

M&S La maison de senteurs lavender hand cream, smells divine

Batiste blush 50ml - have a couple in my stash but this was on offer at £1 so worth getting

Figs & Rose balm - read about this when Emma Watson praised it and after discovering it originates in my hometown, had to try it.

BS Japanese Cherry Blossom shower gel & puree body lotion 250ml

Imperial Source Chocolate & Mint shower gel - just have to give this combination a go, only 66p after the ACM voucher.

Dove Deo - thanks to ACM machine voucher in Boots

    No7 lipstick - using my £5 voucher

Clinique long last glosswear - was introduced to this via the Glamour sample in April. I'm impressed and buying the full size in duty free was a good deal.

    Dove body lotion 250ml

B&H iced peppermint body lotion 50ml

Mavala orange nail varnish (free with Elle)

There you have it. I'm not counting the free nail varnish nor the Dove / B&H as these were bought before I started the challenge, I just hadn't got round to bringing them over with me. Neither am I counting the gifts or the necessary INs. So, my total is: 13.

The good news is ladies the naughty step is so full now that there's no room so you'll just not have to buy anything :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

On a more serious note, all this rioting business is just awful. Sawan - I am so sorry to hear about your sister getting burgled, how very unsettling. Let's hope the worst is over now.

Hugs to those who needs them & have a good Sunday

PS. Rosemary, loved the biccie joke!!

PPS. I also got a lovely Radley bag at Cheshire Oaks, but that's another story. Maybe I should start a "No more buying Radley bags" thread.....

Hey everyone, a couple of UU's:

Lush I Should Coco Soap. WNBA. The coconut got on my nerves after a little while and just got stuck everywhere around my bath! Plus the scent was a bit sickly too.

Oral B Alcohol Free Mouth Rinse. WNBA. The taste was really weird and there are better and cheaper mouthwashes out there.

Murad Oil Control Mattifier. WNBA. Really expensive and felt like glue on my face. Didn't really keep me matte either. Found a better product in my stash :)

    And a couple of IN's:

Oral B Sensitive Mouth Wash. Bought from the £ shop and so far like it, has a nice fresh minty taste and leaves my teeth feeling very clean. And it was only a £!

Nail Varnish Remover wipes. Again from the £ shop and I had run out of nail varnish remover.

    So 2 necessary purchases really!
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000
    Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 2017
