I'm going to try and join in from now on. Had a total overspend in July (it was QVC's beauty month).
I did buy a Bobbi Brown palette yesterday but starting my no spend from today.
I have a massive stash that will take a long time to do but will try and post if i can.
I might not post loads but knowing i'm in on the challenge should help me. :j0 -
Some ins too: DH bought a hand and nail kit for me at the weekend with a buffer, lotion (200ml) and sea salt soap. It cost him £29.99 . Not happy! They've caught me before and I just thanked them and said I had not got enough money for it which is what he should have said but he and DD haven't an ounce of sense between the pair of them!
Did they get caught by people in a shopping centre? My hubby got caught by them about 2 years ago and spent £40 (I KNOW!!!) on a pot of exfoliator and body lotion.
He has never used either in his life and probably never will. What an earth came over him i have no idea but i gave him a good telling off and said i would bet anything that come 1 year on they would still be there. Also the thing that horrified me is that they only had a 6 month shelf life once opened. Hubby got in major trouble!!!0 -
Forgot we were now in August and posted this on the July thread so here it is instead.
I have wanted to try the new Sensodyne repair & protect (?) which is actually on offer in Boots at the moment. The only problem is that at 342 it would still make three tubes of toothpaste £8.00 so was just wondering whether anyone knew of a cheaper place to buy it. I prefer Sensodyne as I do suffer with sensitive teeth and quite like this range.
Also please add me in again this month. As far as I can remember I had no purchases in July and I think about three UUs (blames pregnancy brain :rotfl:)Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j
Owe Virgin [STRIKE]£5,950.00 [/STRIKE]at 0% til June 2009 £3,427.89. Owe HSBC [STRIKE]£5,460.78 [/STRIKE]2.9% til May 2010 £3,703.07. Owe Post Office £1,676.62 at 0% til September 20100 -
finished the bobbi brown face base this morning - will buy more later in the year pretty much when i have ran out some other stuff, i love the smell of it as well as the texture0

THANK GOD it wasnt just me thinking that the C word was cheese.... :rotfl:
no more outs for me today - ive come on here for three reasons, one is to pre-warn that Im off to honiton show on thursday, so there could well be some ins - im a sucker for crafty type toiletries!!!
And to say that I now want to know about this salt spray mentioned on the last page - if it makes hair curl nicely HOW do I not know about it??!!!! I LOVE my hair curly now im older and have decided to embrace the curl !!!
the final thing I thought I should share (because ive mentioned him quite a bit over time) is that my greyhound,Percy has got bowel cancer.I got his blood results back today, and its certain just from those - the results were pretty much as definitive as they can get to confirm it without any other tests. Dont know how long we have - hopefully it will be between 3 and 6 months as long as the steroids keep him happy, but I plan to spoil him even more rotten than he already is, and let him go without him ever having to be in pain
and now i need a drink
Oh Trudi! I've followed Percy's adventures over on FF, Atacanta and here with many a smile - he is so engaging and such a character - rolling over on his sofa and falling off....again, his many 'incidents'... And now this. How desperately, horribly unfair.
Thanks be to God that in you he has a highly knowledgeable and loving owner who will know when exactly the right time comes to say goodbye. You'll also have time to spoil him, not a luxury granted to all of us - poor Tiger had to go so suddenly the other week.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

I think I know the guys you are talking about, I was caught by them one Christmas time in Debenhams.
I was pressured into a 29.99 bargain, hand and nail, foot and nail creams, cuticle oil and a nail buffer set. I've just dug it out now actually, you guys reminded me. I'll get the creams used up on my feet, and use the buffer. I might put the oil out, I remember the top of it cracked just after I bought it :mad:0 -
R.E. the shopping centre people thing.
I got caught out and paid £30ish for a nail lotion, buffer type thing. I have a massive problem saying no to people. I felt so guilty for spending so much money on it that I gave it to SIL as a present.:o2019 Wins
