So sorry Trudij xxx
Another here who thought the c word was cheese! :rotfl::j0 -
I'm in Lovelies! Not posting a whole lot - but not spending either.
I'm planning to do an interim list and revise my plan this month, maybe even take some pictures of The Stash for horrifying myself when I think about spending more purposes!
Good luck all! :beer:Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
Happy Birthday Flirtini (and I think I may have missed Fiasco's along the way too?)
Welcome to all the newbies and returners :hello:
Loving the stash lists - I may get brave this month and do mine product by product - I was planning on doing it when I got to under 50 items but it doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon :rotfl::rotfl:
Shamless Pleading:I've entered a competition to win £1000 of train vouchers - I spend almost that a year so it would be a super prize. Could some (any, all
) of you lovely ladies vote for my picture - it's OH and Big Dog asleep on a train :rotfl:
http://apps.facebook.com/easypromos-premium/voteme/2495/612955635
The comp is on Facebook so you may not be able to vote if you don't have a profile - but feel free to bug your OH/DD/DS/Neighbour/Dog- anyone who has a profile to vote too. You shall be rewarded in toiletry heaven :rotfl: :A:
I voted, and shared too, I think it's a great picture.
I've got my first UU of the month. The Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends intensive mask. I got this back in April with my compensation vouchers for the Clairol Foam disaster. (For those who missed it, C.F. 'medium brown' turned my hair, and that of many others, black.)
WIBA? No. The product is fine, ridiculously overpriced, but fine. Hair nice and silky with it, no split ends. What isn't fine is the impractical packaging. It comes in a smooth sided large tub. The lid is impossible to remove with wet hands in the shower. Several times I gave up and used something else instead.
In fact it would have lasted a lot longer if it hadn't fallen off the side of the bath because it was too big to perch there, and had half of it vanish down the plughole.
A sizeable percentage of people wash their hair in the shower and this product is clearly not designed to be used as such.
Non Bought Ins: Two shampoo and conditioner freebies, one a V05 new variant with Prima, the other another HE free sample in the post. Also a L'Oreal moisturiser sample- think it was L'Oreal, will check another time.
Bought in - but didn't have any: A scrubby hand cleanser from the pound shop that has all sorts of lovely natural ingredients, looks as if it was a lot more than a quid.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Voted for you Sarah*a! That's a fun pic!

And to say that I now want to know about this salt spray mentioned on the last page - if it makes hair curl nicely HOW do I not know about it??!!!! I LOVE my hair curly now im older and have decided to embrace the curl !!!
It was me, and it's this one which is currently on offer in Boots. It didn't make it mega curly but it enhanced my waves and looked very nice if I do say so myself! You do need to put quite a bit on, and your hair will feel gigantic the next day! :rotfl:Another here who thought the c word was cheese! :rotfl:
I thought it too!

Just wondering if any of you guys have heard of a "stamper" before? Or used one?
What are they like to use? The girl makes it look easy but I'm a great believer in "if it looks easy... it probably isnt"

so sorry about your dog turdij,my 18 year old cat had that and after the vet gave him a special diet and 6 months he went out one day and never came back,we searched the village but never found him:(think he went off to die.all you can do is give your dog a few happy months(tried to send a hug but ended up wiping the post!)
re cheese :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:it was ok for a 1st attempt.I wanted to do fresh cheese like we ate in Portugal and looked up recipies on the web and adapted them to suit.
All I did was heat a litre of full fat milk to 90F used my medical thermometer to check and added 1 teaspoon of rennet(from waitrose) covered with cling and left for 30 mins then cut up into 3 cms squares then covered for an hour before draining off liquid(used some to make scones) then put into a dish in the fridge for several hours. It is a bit like cottage cheese,I think it could do with some salt in but tasted good with tomatoes and basil:)don't think it will last long.

Been thinking about getting one aswell, let us know how you get on -I also think there was a separate thread on MSE about mooncups some time ago...
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Let me know if it is any good for puffy eyes.
Have given up on the BS Vit E eye cream and now using it on my cuticles. Have opened one from my stash Bliss all around eye cream that I got in the sales months and months ago and so far it seems OK and puffiness may be slightly better.0 -
On nail stampers, a couple of people on other forums I visit have used them and have got really good results, but have said they're very fiddly. So not for me - I struggle enough just with things like crackle and glitter!
Have voted for you sarah*a
Sorry to hear about Percy trudijI hope his last few months are happy and as comfortable as possible, so you have the best memories of him.
No OUTs but I do have a splutterer - the Ted Baker body scrub was on its last legs last night so I cut the tube open and there's a good shower's worth at least of product still in there."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
I'm in for August! I have no hope of keeping up this month because I'm using every spare moment to try and finish off the baby blanket that I'm making for my nephew. I can do that and interact witht he littlies whilst they're on holiday but I can't be on here too
.
I have some UU's, No7 cocooning body butter WIBA?: Yes, it was lovely but pricey. Maybe on an offer. A sachet of fake tan moisturiser. Only I didn't realise it was fake tan so woke the following morning with orange hands and interesting streaky patches everywhere:eek: teach me to read the instructions won't it
, I read "shea butter" and "coconut fragrance" not "turns you carrot colour"
.
It's a s well I can laugh about it (only because I've had 2 nights working so been in trousers, socks and shoes for 2 days). WIBA?: Well, I didn't buy it in the first place it was a freebie. Yes I would, I have 2 sachets left. I will just be a bit more savvy next time and plan to use it to fake tan my legs with. It smells lovely and is very moisturising I was just a bit surprised!
Some ins too: DH bought a hand and nail kit for me at the weekend with a buffer, lotion (200ml) and sea salt soap. It cost him £29.99 . Not happy! They've caught me before and I just thanked them and said I had not got enough money for it which is what he should have said but he and DD haven't an ounce of sense between the pair of them!
Hope everyone's well, hugs to those who need them, Yay to anyone who wants one and welcome to all newbies!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0
