Hello all... can I join in?

I was inspired to go to the bathroom and make an inventory of what I have. I don't use makeup, but I have a little for some formal event I have to go to.

I can say with all honesty that I am now officially annoyed at myself... Grrrrr what a WASTE!

    Make-up

    Mascara,
    Eye shadow x5 (HOW??????????)
    Eye liner liquid
    Eye liner pencil x2 (why?)
    Lip liner pencil
    Lipstick x 3 (HOW?????????????)
    Foundation
Lip gloss x4 (How? again... how?)
nail polish x5 (?) ice cream blue, baby pink, yellow(?), dark red and bright red.

    Moisturisers

Clarins beauty flash balm x2 (What the ****!)
    Clarins stretch mark cream
    Clarins body lotion
Clarins Ultra Matt concentrate x2 (Argh!)
    Amie morning dew (current)
    Sanctuary body butter x2
Body shop Brazil nut body butter (yum!)
Bio oil (use as body moisturiser when I remember I have it)
    Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream x2 (?!)
Bvlgari body lotion (Omnia) - gift!

    Bath/Shower

Original Source tea-tree and mint x5 (bulk buy!)
    Clarins shower gel
Radox bath therapy x2 (? - I only shower.... what was I thinking?!)

    Facial cleansers

    Neutrogena grapefruit
    St Ives scrub
Clinique facial bar (using as alternative shower gel! - I got the mildest version, but I swear that stuff is powerful! - Lasts for AGES though)

    Perfumes

    Armarni code (gift!)
    Bvlgari Omina x2 (?!)

    'Personal Administration'

Veet complete body wax set x5 (!? - I'm seriously not that hairy!!!!)
7 boxes of tampons (various sizes and makes... :( )
3 full packs of huggies baby wipes (I have no kids....?!)

and 6 bars of posh smelly soaps.

    (epic toiletry fail...)

August already!!!got back from hols to see ads for Christmas parties and a new autumn/winter catalogue:eek:and someone told me Selfridges have got Christmas decorations up:mad::mad::mad::mad:was beginning to panic as tomatoes only just going red then thought mmmm that is what should be happening now not winter:rotfl:

trying my hand at cheese making today!

No no no please not the C word already! Emma mentioned it yesterday and I nearly blew a fuse! Have my hols in October to look forward to first. Thankfully, we are away for Halloween and I quite enjoy Bonfire Night but really do not want to think about C.

How did the cheese making go? MrM keeps saying he wants to try it.

Meant to add - I'M IN THIS MONTH ALSO /COLOR]

I have already bought something - I do notice a pattern that each time the month begins I feel the need to get something. However, it's not entirely unnecessary. Bought a tube of Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub. This is marvellous stuff and I've got it to replace the S&G Scrub Your Nose in it which has done nothing for my skin whatsoever. I have my crop of whiteheads back again so did need the Biore one.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here yet (or whether it should!!) but you can now buy some things online from home bargains, including perfumes but thankfully not other toilettries!!

I read this, then read the last line of Rosemary's post and thought the C-word was Cheese!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I thought "I dont like cheese, but thats taking it abit far, isnt it? Does she absolutely love cheese and trying to get off it? Or does she really detest it THAT much?!?"

And then I read the entire post above and realised you meant Christmas... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

ok i didnt have time to count my stash but i did go through and organise it so i know where everything is. i now have 1 tub for hair, 1 tub for face, 1 tub for body and 1 tub for other stuff.
threw away a dove lotion that had gotten very watery and didnt really do anything when applied except make me sticky, wnba.

i also used a ponds nose strip and it burnt my nose!?!? it left a really red sore patch on one nostril. have used these loads before and been fine so i dont know what happened there.

THANK GOD it wasnt just me thinking that the C word was cheese.... :rotfl:

no more outs for me today - ive come on here for three reasons, one is to pre-warn that Im off to honiton show on thursday, so there could well be some ins - im a sucker for crafty type toiletries!!!

And to say that I now want to know about this salt spray mentioned on the last page - if it makes hair curl nicely HOW do I not know about it??!!!! I LOVE my hair curly now im older and have decided to embrace the curl !!!

the final thing I thought I should share (because ive mentioned him quite a bit over time) is that my greyhound,Percy has got bowel cancer.I got his blood results back today, and its certain just from those - the results were pretty much as definitive as they can get to confirm it without any other tests. Dont know how long we have - hopefully it will be between 3 and 6 months as long as the steroids keep him happy, but I plan to spoil him even more rotten than he already is, and let him go without him ever having to be in pain :(

and now i need a drink

Oh trudij, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Pets are more than just animals we keep, they are part of the family and have a great impact on our lives. Hope you can have some quality time with him before the inevitable. Might have to take my cat to the vets this week because her epilepsy meds don't seem to be working any more, she keeps having mini seizures occasionally, especially at night.

To keep this on topic, I just put in my last mail rewards code and have signed up to get the £5 Boots voucher. Already have it earmarked for when my night cream runs out in a couple of weeks. Means I will only have to pay £4.50 for it!

not sure if I posted these UU or not but:

aveeno moisturiser-WNBA- it had the 'radiance' without looking too glittery which I was quite surprised about. Also had spf 15 and I loved the pump packaging- hygenic and it looks good. But it's way too heavy for my combo skin, but would be perfect for drier skin types. I've seen 100ml pots of this in tkmaxx for £5 (the one I had was £10 for 50ml)

Johnsons face wash-WIBA? maybe, it was quite rich and left my skin feeling clean. The actual product is quite runny and it comes in an upside flip top which wasted more than I used. Once I put it in my BS passion fruit bottle it was fine and lasted ages. Often on 2 for £4 so I would buy it if there's nothing else.

Avon supermagnify mascara-WBA- I don't see the point in spending £10+ on a mascara as my eyelashes are quite long and dark (the only advantage of having dark hair:D) and this is usually less than £5 (I don't think I've ever bought anything from avon full price..:rotfl:) The brush is tiny but it separates and curls my lashes and is good for everyday.

Lush HIWTK soap- WBA (eventually) I love love the smell but a bar lasts about 5 showers as it just seems to disappear. I try using a shower puff thing, not using it under water, but nothing seems to make it last. I wba but at £3-£4 a bar, I can't any time soon

and a teeny tiny unexpected in:

Clinique moisture surge foundation sample which was in my instyle magazine :D

I can't remember whose idea it was, but I'm going to print off my stash list and start crossing things off, so thank you:j
