  • ive put all OH's work books on top of the wardrobe and am annoyed with him, some of them are mega expensive as in over £100 for a book and one is ripped to shreds. he just shoved it in a bag and shoved others on top of it so its trashed. not a happy bunny about that as he would go mental at me if i did that with something expensive of mine.

Lunch done and Rhys away for a snooze, another load of washing on and dw nearly finished so i can reload. Livingroom cleared again and hoovered.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Done!

Trying desperately to sort utilities etc for the move but the address doesn't exist for me to do any comparisons  rang the site office to find out which company the gas and electricity are currently with and they are taking ages to get back to me, it can't be that difficult! I need to make other calls so might stop waiting and just call the other people, they can leave a message if they ever get their act together.

Does anyoe have any advice on how we choose which utility company to go with? We are moving into a new house so it will just be what the building company use at the moment.

    Afternoon all,

I've collected up all the dirty laundry
    wm x 1
Ds1 unloaded & loaded the dw
    handwashed
    s&s kitchen
    Ds2 & i tidied the living room & Ds1 hoovered

I'm going to make some lunch and write my holiday list.

The letting agent for the house that's gone in this village just rang me saying she'd just got a house in the next village availiable 3 bedrooms and a decent sized garden. I'm going to view it tomorrow so i'm keeping everything crossed. It's across the road from the teeny tiny house i viewed yesterday so i'm not holding out too much hope.

Just go with what the developers have organised - you can't be in any fix as you haven't agreed to anything. Then check uswitch or similar when you move in - and get cashback for changing your supplier :D:D

Happy Birthday Squeak and SSL- hope you both have a lovely day :bdaycake::bdaycake:(1 each!!!)

piggers thanks re my 'numbers' - it surprised me that i managed it. Stop feeling useless just because you cant waddle to the PO - just think of OH as an extension of yourself - he is going on your behalf because you cant be in 2 places at once!

Holly first have a huge squishy (((hug))) its very understandable that you are overwhelmed - but just take it as it comes and try to deal with only the important stuff for now
this is seems very unfair on your landlords part - do you have a written agreement - can he give you just a months notice?
You seem a bit 'calmer' today and at least you have had some time to catch your breath without the holiday club.
concentrate on getting ready for the holiday - you need the break and the kids would be upset if they didnt get - it will do you no harm to be away and have some thinking time.
Only do what is absolutely vital for the holiday. then if you get all that done you can do a few other small jobs.

When you are away (make sure you have a notebook!)and more relaxed try to think of all the scenarios - do the pos and neg lists for each possibility and see what looks best.
how soon will the local house agents know if its going ahead - you dont want to be waiting around too long? do they have anything else on their books close by - do they know of anything coming up?
will you have access to internet on hols - if so you could be looking up letting agents etc for your area and might be able to contact some by email buut at least get their info noted on a word doc so you can work through them when you get back.
If you havent access can someone do that for you - you dont want to waste anytime.
I wouldnt be worrying about cleaning etc for now (sorry pigpen) as you will have to clean the house before you go and its always easier when its empty.

you know you will have a perfect opportunity to declutter but you may not have time so be prepared to box everything as is and sort at the other end. You need to keep your business ticking over but try to not overload yourself.
new schools are scary for most kids so I am not surprised what Ds is feeling - do you know any mums with kids at the other schools that you could speak to for opinions. You need to look at travelling distances if you keep them where they are and the diesel/petrol costs.
is moving in with Oh an option in the short term - or any relatives - and putting everything into storage - check out storage facilities and costs - that would certainly relieve the pressure and give you the chance to find something suitable.
speak to your local housing associations/council because you will be homeless and with children thats not an option

I know its a shock and it sounds like you have a lovely home but I am sure you will find a suitable compromise - maybe less garden or further from school but something will turn up.

keep the chin up and remember to breathe - thats very important too:D we are always here to help maybe not physically but we will come up with suggestions if we can - takecare honey xx

ETA just seen about the other house - dont dismiss it - it maybe not ideal but it would mean less upheavel initially and its not to say it has to be permanent - see what the minimum let is - it would be a starting point to give you breathing space so that you could hunt for something better - go with an open mind if you can.
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
