How about suggesting a hamper of goodies (food goodies or bath goodies, whatever floats your boat). Or a really nice jumper or cardi in a loud colour to brighten up the winter days that are just around the corner? Or a mega-tonne box of chocolates?

Me feeling much better, thanks beanie, think I was just having one of those tired days, pay day so near yet so far, feeling a bit rubbish and dare I say it..prob a little hormonal too :o I really shouldn't complain given that there are plenty of folks on here with much bigger problems to worry about than I do.

Nargle's idea of a hamper is quite a good one, my mum did my OH a bag of toiletries as part of his xmas, nothing wild, things he normally uses but he was really pleased. Although if you get a mega tonne box of chocs do bring them on the next outing ;)

How's things with DS going? Is there a plan B in place yet? xx

Meant to also say....declaring NSD #10 whoop whoop!!!

Actually had quite a profitable weekend, sold two items that have been listed in the local rag for a few weeks so that's good, and have a few more bits listed in fleabay (though no bids as yet but fingers crossed)

Been very good and tidied my draws - threw out a few well past their best items, and got a few more for the next boot sale. I have also concluded that I really don't need any more pairs of jeans as I have about 15 (excl denim shorts) though to my defence I am able (and do) wear them to the office, so actually pretty much all of them get worn on a regular basis. :A

A spend day for me which was an online order (£10) for an ingredient for dessert making. This should last one month and this contrasts with the very lot of money spent in the past on food ingredients. Also, soon will be a purchasing milk day but when that's got I'll be "back on course".

Regarding overspending, it seems to occur when a problem cannot be solved and affects mood adversely hence then resulting in buying something. So it is quite a trapping the consumerist world.

  • This forum is taking over my life. I've just been sat enjoying a glass (or 2 or 3) of wine listening to music when John Barrowman (think I was drunk when I bought it) came on & I started laughing, thinking of jintyb. :rotfl:
