Hi JCG, sorry I meant to reply to your post about your friend sooner but was feeling somewhat 'meh' myself so didn't really feel I'd be very much help. Your situation with your best friend reminds me of the incident not so long ago where my friend called me something rather unkind when I asked for her cc points.

Spoony's words were indeed wise, and I totally agree with them. And whilst your friend may be in a better financial position than you atm, things happen in life and one day the tables may turn. Perhaps she should try putting herself in your shoes a little more before criticising. Like all relationships, true friendship needs give and take. Hope you manage to work things out. x

Feel free to vent to us at any time, judging by us motley crew, if there's a situation, one of us has already been there x

    Hi lovely gang :A
Halfway through the weekend already, where is the time going? At this rate, I’ll have to start thinking about September’s thread soon..:eek::eek:

Lots more NSDs rolling in yesterday and today, well done everyone, and I think I spotted the odd target or two tumbling as well:

:j:j:jchris81418 - for no 13, and the chocolate mini-roll continues, yay!!
And no 14 in the bag today and, even more impressive, 8 in-a-row, yay!!!!! Prizelet heading your way for that!

:j:j:jLily_The_Legend - for no 9, nearly halfway now, keep going!
Glad you enjoyed the show, Alan Carr is very funny, I love his show on Saturday on Radio2
Well done for the iTunes voucher, nothing to be :oabout there. Hope you had a lovely evening and pleased you liked the wiggles
Nos 10 and 11 in the bag for you, over halfway now, that’s brilliant.
And 5 in-a-row as well, that’s fantastic, a prizelet is coming your way for that!

:j:j:jphoenix_dragon - for nos 4 to 8, that’s brilliant! You’re over halfway now, keep going!
The lunches challenge works well with this one and there are some ideas for lunches on the front page of this thread, if that helps

:j:j:jbellkat - for no 10, into double figures now, yay!!! It is indeed going well this month!

:j:j:jSpendSpendSpend - for nos 8 to 10, yay to double figures!!
You’re doing brilliantly, already made one target and well on the way to the next now, you should be delighted with that!
Oh dear, sorry about the window cleaner, ours is like that but then I think about what the windows would look like if we didn’t have him cleaning them and it all seems better - hope that helps x Come back and see us soon, we miss you

:j:j:jelfen - for no 10, into double figures now, that’s brilliant. Keep going!
And no 11 as well, you’re doing brilliantly!

:j:j:jsqueeeek - for no 2, that’s brilliant. You’re getting the hang of this now, keep going!
Hope you enjoyed your cheap night in, sounds good to me

:j:j:jjaffacakegal - for no 12. Only 3 more to get now, you can do it, keep going!

:j:j:jLula - for nos 4 to 7, nearly halfway now. Keep going, you can do it!

:j:j:jjinty - well if you promise not to post any more unflattering pics of JB I’ll allow you that one
And no 10 in the bag for you, yay to double figures!! I like your logic re no 10, I have to say!! And, yes, I did spot you out stalking the streets of Edinburgh!
Happy haircut today, hope you can see out from under your fringe now - I know that feeling well!

    :j:j:jmarmite - for no 11, you’re on the chocolate mini-roll now, that’s fab!!
Look forward to lots more over the weekend, good luck with another 3 in-a-row and hope you enjoy your weekend off
And no 12 in the bag for you now, that’s fantastic, keep going!

:j:j:jdannie - for no 15. Only 3 more to get now, you can do it, keep going!
You’re right, it is difficult to resolve the basic problem which causes the overspending, we’ve all been there. Challenges like these do help you to stay focussed and can help to identify the triggers that set you off. Stick with it, you’ll get there x
And no 16 in the bag for you today, that’s fantastic!

:j:j:jpinkfluffybabe - for no 14.... so close now, you can do it!!
And no 15 in the bag for you and your target tumbles, that’s fantastic, woohoo indeed! :j:j:j
Awarding your prize now, hope you like being Superman! Would you like to increase your target now?

:j:j:jbeadgirl87 - for nos 6 to 8 and your 3 in-a-row target gained, that’s fab!! Prizelet coming your way for that now

:j:j:jkjp - for no 6, over halfway now, keep going!!
Hmm...... I spotted the “f” word in your post - not allowed on here, we don’t “fail”... ever.....

:j:j:jbeanie - for no 15, target no 2 will be tumbling soon, I reckon!!
New target in place for 18, good luck, you can do it!
What’s happened to your signature - it’s gone all peculiar!!

    :j:j:jmrsdwhite - for no 10 and your target tumbles, that’s fantastic!:j:j:j
Awarding your prize now, hope you like being Superman! And 4 in-a-row in the bag for you as well, that definitely deserves another prizelet!
Would you like to increase your target now?
Happy baking over the weekend and pleased you liked the wiggles.
Good news on DD’s bedroom furniture and hope you enjoy your lunch with the in-laws

:j:j:jSillyBlondie - for no 14, that’s brilliant. Only one more to get now, you can do it!

:j:j:jms_night_ryder - for no 4, nearly halfway now, you can do it!
And well done for resisting temptation today, that’s impressive!

:j:j:jBDINI - for no 10 and yay to double figures!!
I’m soooo pleased last night went well, texting today sounds good and if he’s still texting after you spilt beer on him it must have gone well!
Well done for resisting the spends today, I’m mega-impressed with that!

:j:j:jrobedha - for no 7, halfway there now, keep going!

    And hello to:

Red - hope you had a lovely Friday evening with lots of good red wine and the hangover wasn’t too bad this morning.:)
Fingers crossed for an NSD tomorrow

shezam - good grief, that’s a lot for a bottle of water:eek: Hope the Friday night out went well and you didn’t overspend

sf - sorry you were feeling rubbish on Friday, hope you’re feeling a bit better now? x

iwanttogoonholiday - oh dear, sorry to hear about DH and buying things. Would it help if he had some spending money for the month. It’s always tricky when two people have different ideas on how to spend money/how much money to spend. Hugs xx

Frodo - well done for not using the F word, I’m impressed! Sorry about the petrol, it’s the ruin of many an NSD. Hope you manged to get out of work finally:)

kerri - more bargains today, I’m very impressed.
Sorry you’ve been feeling a bit under the weather, hope you’re OK now? x:A

No 15 in the bag for me Friday, woohooo!!! And... I remembered to pay my bills today (thanks Lily), so no NSD today but no charges either, phew!!

I'll update the front page tomorrow, hope that's OK with you all.

    ‘night everyone

    Hi all,

Well still feeling pretty "meh" as Kerri put it! I use that term I know what you mean :D hope you are ok now?

Hope the date went well BDINI - I am permenantly single - would be nice to be treated nice for a night! Hopefully the 1st of many for you

Thanks to you two and Spoon and Chris for your thoughts - I knew already that I just need to let go, it's just hard when you are close to someone for so long. It's like the end of a relationship! There are a few things that aren't right between us and I can't see how they will be fixed so guess I will just have to accept it!

Anyway we're here to talk NSDs lol!! erm I dunno when I updated what I put *looks in budget book to check current situ sees that Thurs was NSD 12*

Friday I bought my drinks - bad move as I now know the shop across the road stock scrummy yummy fruit cider, with offers on!! Didn't think I could justify taking the money out of my "food and drink away from home" money bag as I sat in and drank them so it was a spend Friday.

Today (well yesterday if we are being pedantic) had a concert, had no tea so got a mcdo using my money bag. Although even if I hadn't my Grandad gave me his ticket money plus an extra tenner as "petrol money" and wouldn't take no for an answer - so I actually made money - bless him! Thus justifiable NSD 13 (unlucky for some).

Off to try and think of something interesting and positive to put on my lovely new diary!

    U are all fab :D

Thanks Spoon! :) Should be NSD no 12 today, but will confirm later. Yay, that's good you paid your bills in time! :)

Going to MIL's for lunch today, and taking my mum's dog with us as we need to emergency dog-sit as my folks have to go see my stepdad's mum today who is ill in hospital. Bit worried about her and also my dad has to have a test in hospital this Fri, so worried about that too. Not sure if that contributed to me feeling a bit down in the dumps yesterday (yes another one here feeling meh!!!) So we popped to the coast last night and watched the sun go down and played on the 2p machines. DH got the 2ps for us.

Counted up 1p, 2p and 5p coins yesterday and have £8 so am going to get them changed this week and if I spend that I'm not counting it as a spend day as it's not money from my purse! :D Is that allowed? :o

JCG - hope you're ok. It's awful when you realise you don't have much in common with some friends any more. :(

BDINI - glad the date went well! :j

I hope everyone has a good day.
