Daughter off to camp...

It's my turn today. DS is off to camp this morning. He's so excited! He'll be gone for a week and we're overhauling his bedroom while he's gone; decorate, clean the carpet, hang new curtains, make a built in desk in the alcove. I am used to him being away but I miss him like mad when he's gone so I thought it would give me something to focus on and surprise him when he gets home.

DD is off again next Saturday, another week long camp. Sh'e also booked a weekender for September. I did say to my OH yesterday she will have had 2 weeks full board adventure holiday for £120! Brilliant.

Not all that many from my detachment/company's experience tbh

We are marketed these days as a 'youth organisation' because many parents just thought we were recruiting for the Army. I never encourage anyone to join the army and don't let recruiters come along to sway the minds of the older cadets.

We get many who join for the experience before going onto the army, but that's their own choice and we are happy to advise and provide references.

Well, she's gone again! I'm getting sporadic text messages but she's having far too much fun to bother contacting Mum lol She's developed a new fascination with helicopters now....



I hope the weather improves a little for her though!
