  • I found a penny in the boot of my car and took back a Christmas present for a refund - I am counting this towards my challenge target because I didn't buy anything else (which the pre LBM me would have done) and it's the same as selling unwanted gifts on Ebay (isn't it?) Please let me know if you think this doesn't count.

The debate on bank charges was interesting - makes no difference to me as I don't have to claim.

Looking forward to doing a search for "our" bargains on Ebay after tomorrow's listing frenzy :D

I've packed my whole house over the last 2 days ready to move and have got a big cupboard full of bits and bobs to sell over the next few weeks.

Just made another £12.48 matched betting, still below my target tho but am starting a new part-time job this week for a bit of extra money, so that will help.

    Annie,
I agree that you should have the bank charges in brackets within the challenge, and I am one of the people who will be claiming and I don't mind.

Another thing sold on ebay and an unexpected mystery shop today gave me my £16! Also have another last minute mystery shop to do tomorrow so easy money there.

I expect the reason that it is quiet on this thread this evening is because everyone is getting ready for tomorrows ebay 10p listing day!

    Good luck everyone :T

  • I've got nothing to put on my total as yet, but I have my first two mystery shops next week, a few things on ebay and I got a great email today from the company I got my mobile phone from in November - I got a free 80g i-pod with it and I was supposed to get a £15 i-tunes voucher but I never did. Apparently they've run out of the vouchers so they are going to credit my bank account with the cash instead! So I'll have plenty to add onto my total, just not this first week

    Hi Guys
Sounds like you are all doing really well. I did my first mystery shop for one of the new companies I signed up for so my total will be up by £12 once I get cheque. Also sold another free book today £3.02 profit - will update total in a mo.
Now with all the new tesco coupons I am seriously stocking up on free/nearly free toiletries to sell at my first car boot sale of the year (probably in march/april) I am keeping all my reciepts so I know how much to take off my profit.
Can't wait for spring - I hope to make a good few hundred on my first one.
Also hubby has just agreed to sell the exercise bike we never use (nearly new) so hopefully that will make a bit and I have all that arsenal stuff to list tomorrow.( I know I'm on diet but I do swim and cycle - we simply don't have room for it in house and my garage is full!!!)
    Keep going guys
Don't forget to post tips so I can update first post
    How big is this now???
I'm so excited by it all
Thanks for all your support re: the bank charges thing - it's tough making decisions like that and I hope everyone is ok with the final decision.

It better all sell now I've got it all down!!!!!!

Might freecycle some of it though as the money from them wont warrant the trek to the post office!
