I'm really sorry, but I'm going to have to drop out of this challenge!
I've been spending so much time on this and matched betting that my actual business is suffering. I've just realised that I won't make enough money this month to pay the bills and that kind of negates the point of the challenge. I've made bronze so at least I'm on the podium!
I'll pop in to see how people are doing, but really have to make a major effort now to get work back on track.
Fingers crossed for everyone.....I expect there to be a scrum for the Gold medal position!!! :T :T0 -
Hi
Just Ebay sales of £24.51 this week, still waiting for Quidco cashback to clear and I really need to get off my butt and get Ebaying again with a vengeance as I have let it slide a bit lately. Should have 3 hours overtime to add on the 23rd March, which will help a bit. I am really lagging behind at the moment due to lack of time to focus on this challenge! Also kids hogging computer to finish GCSE coursework and revise for tests, which doesn't give me much time for listing, but it has to take priority! Hope everyone else is doing a lot better.
Incidentally, how much should we have made by now to be in with a chance of reaching the bronze!Bronze Challenge Total - £331.23

I am still struggling to list direct on to ebay - so I managed to list of a couple of items through Auctiva last night. I think I will try that way for a while and see how it goes. Sold six books yesterday - not sold anything yet today.First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

I'm very proud of myself. I spent £2.05 on a new buckle to REPAIR naughty puppy's chewed head collar when i would normally have gone straight to the shop and bought a brand new one for ~£10.
£7.95 saved! Yay!0 -

I've got my mum into now though, sent her the website to look at and have just got of the phone to her having spent half hour talking about solar panels and the best places to put them on our houses!!!!
Did you see the news last night where they showed the government buildings completely lit when there was no one there? Completely disgraceful! Not only for the carbon for for moneysaving too!!!
I'm locked into to npower for a while so I can get my annual discount but as soon as thats up I'm switching to a green supplier. I cant cut back the bills anymore than I have already, they have to double check my gas meter as they dont believe its all I've used, plus I've got energy saving bulbs in every available fitting...just a shame that 70% of the lights in my house are halogens!! Good job they are hardly switched on!
You give 'em a good ole rollocking!! Hopefully if enough people do it they might start charging less for it across the board!!:money:
I had the same problem with the gas, they refused to believe my meter reading.
All of us are paying for this money-wasting by the government.
Might write to Tony about it (and send him a low energy light bulb, they obviously don't have the money to buy any)

after my success with amazon (selling a book a day for 7 days) and MS payouts this week's been very quiet, starting a new job has distracted me a bit from the challenge too. So far this week it's just £1.70 on amazon (but sold another book overnight so will update in the morning, only another 80p-£1 though).
Then this lunchtime did my first psychology experiment for ages, the dept here at the uni I work recruit people to do experiments and give them cash to say thanks (not very much but every little helps). Did one today 35 minutes and got £4 so that's helped this week and have 2 more booked in next week so far just in lunch hour! Did these a bit whilst I was a student - made £100 in my 1st year.
So total this week is £5.70 so far. Ebay listing prep tonight I think starting to fall behind a bit more again...Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

another £10 to add for me, got the odeon voucher through from consumer pulse and given it to my brother for his birthday!!
bad week spending wise for me but a good week money wise, getting a bonus from work this month that works out almost enough to pay for my china holiday so the challenge money will now be spare money!!!finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0 -
Well after I thought I was going to have the worst week yet I came home to find a payslip showing I've been paid the holiday pay from my last contract (my new contract is paid weekly but I thought this money would arrive at the end of the month) it was £244.67.
My total has now more than doubled :j :j to £472.99 :T :T - I'm nearly half way there now.
I've set up an account and moved this money straight across and have moved over my mystery shopping money for this challenge too (it gets paid into my own rather than joint account so will take a few days as it's a different bank). Hoping that before long I'll have all £472.99 in there.
And I've sold one of the videos my parents bought up which should make me about £10 after postage (old TV detective drama thing) will take that and the book I sold overnight to the post office so I can increase my total even more :jInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
