Just listed a handful of things on eBay. I've also listed a DVD on Amazon, just to test the waters as the armful of stuff I listed before Christmas never sold...

I'm a bit late but can I join too? I've been lurking on these boards forever, but would really like to get involved in a challenge! I'm going to go for Gold ... I'm in the process of buying my first flat, and ended up having to borrow money from my parents for the deposit, this amount would mean I could pay them back about half of it by July, which would be a great feeling!

I've got a big list of things to list on ebay tomorrow, then I'm going to give matched betting a try. Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions so far, good luck to us all :)

  • Does it cost anything to sell your books on Amazon....is there a listing fee or a final sales fee as in Ebay. Does it work our cheaper selling on Amazon or on Ebay. Any tips re. selling on any of these sites, such as the best things to be selling for the current time of year etc. would be very useful to me, as I haven't been terribly successful on Ebay in the past.

  • Hi everyone, I'm itching to get started, I've been going on about it at work all week and people have started offering things for me to sell bonus!!! Going to put some more stuff on ebay today after raiding the house. I also volunteered to stay at work on monday night if it's busy so thats an extra hour overtime, as much as I hate it I'll keep thinking of all of you on here and smiling to myself!!! Good luck all!

There is a fee once the item sells but you also get a postage credit so the fee doesn't work out too much. The best thing is that you don't pay out if you don't sell. The fact that it's so easy to list on Amazon is why I use it. You just need to find it listed then click "Sell yours here". The listing page will tell you how much you will get for the sale so you can decide if it's worth it or not. I've been much more successful with Amazon (books mostly but also a game and a video). There are threads in the "Ebay and other auction sites" forum.
