    Amazon, without a doubt.

I disagree if the book is heavy and has a low selling price on Amazon - I'd say, check Amazon fist, after weighing it and checking the royal mail webiste caluculator

  • Where else would you suggest?

I still say Amazon. If a book is heavy, with low selling prices, I wouldnt bother trying to sell it at all online. Ebay - you are likely to not make a sale, losing your fees. Green Metropolis has a feature (I think) to up the postage, although I dont use it, so may be wrong. I'd say save it for a car boot.

For the majority of books, if it wont go on Amazon, it probably wont go online.

True - although I do agree amazon is great for books and also for some dvd's, I've had real success on Ebay - but maybe that's the type of book I've been selling (like slimming, recipe etc). I am savoing unsellable online stuff for a car boot too.

  • Yeah, slimming books seem to be quite popular on eBay. No idea why! I can understand them selling in the New Year, what with all the resolutions.

Did 7 hours work at my (newish) part-time job yesterday, so that is a lovely £98 to add to my total!

Thanks for the advice about the istockphoto, although no-one replied to my when I asked how you upload a government issue photo. So in the end I just took a photo of my passport, hope that was enough. I applied on thursday so I should hear soon, if I am in. Fingers crossed because I have lots of lovely photos.

  • Im thinking some of the stuff ive been doing wont actually pay out till long after the challenge. ie mutual points, itsyourview and various survey sites but when eventually I earn enough to withdraw any funds it will be a nice bonus! (also my car insurance is due a few days after the challenge ends but thanks to this I will definately be applying for it via quidco!!)

I love this challenge!! Ive learned so many ways to save (and make!!:)) that little extra that it has become a way of life now (bordering on the obsessive Im beginning to think!)

Off subject again (Im sorry :o) Ive been comparing bank statements for this time last year and last year I spent over £130 on clothes and over £500 on I dont know what!!! this year its £0 on clothes and probably less than £100 on other stuff! Im so chuffed this year but feel a bit sick thinking about all the money I wasted! well Ive learned my lessons and am proud of it!
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
  • my total should be up a bit by the weekend as paypal should have hit the account by then

bit disheartening not getting any higher in the total

tried the banner thingy mentioned earlier but they emailled me back saying they were't taking any new people on
Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO
