  • Had another good week, got some more birthday money, counted and banked my loose change (out of my tins) and made about £20 on eBay after fees etc.

Just found a whole lot of stuff that I've been meaning to ebay and forgot about so that's all getting put on this evening once I've taken pics of it all.

I have got a total of £65.83 to add from a couple of ebay sales that I have now been paid for and sent off, and also my weekly saving now I now longer have my cleaner.

I have a mystery shop to do today so will have another £10 to add to the total once I have done that.

Things are a bit slow on ebay at the moment, but part of that is due to my lack of activity - must give myself a kick up the backside. Also need to pluck up the courage to try the matched betting this weekend. I have read through the instructions loads of times and downloaded the spreadsheet, but something still holds me back....

If you have a go at the Coral offer over the next few days, I'm sure other people will also be starting on the matched betting road with the same offer at the same time.

Whatever you decide to do, feel free to post any questions - and details of any bets before you make them - on the Newcomers' thread on the Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes board. When you're starting off it's a good confidence boost when people tell you that what you're about to do is actually correct :)

PS PLEASE don't miss out on making the most of the offers like Coral - £50 via a special link - and Betfair - £25 from Quidco and another £25 by entering a code when you sign up. By making the most of these early, easy, offers you can double your money very quickly!

  • hi there,

I don't post very often but I have been reading every single message and getting ideas and I have posted a few also.

I have my own challenge but I am not as disciplined as you all are!!

I have had an opportunity thrown my way at work that would help me towards my debt situation .... possibly. Basically my boss has told me that he wants to have a meeting with me next week to talk about taking on extra supervisory work .... he is manager for a group of areas. He has said that due to the person that normally supervises for him having to have some training this leaves an area unsupervised. This is going to go on for a 'few weeks'. A few weeks could mean 3 or it could mean 10 - it's internal training.
He has never asked me to do this before for holiday cover which I find a little strange and makes me wonder if this is going to be more long term.

Sorry this is long and boring .... I just want to know how to ask if I may be entitled to a little extra bonus or even pay rise in a way that's going to sound professional ... I always find talking about pay rises/bonuses awkward as I want to be seen as being helpful.

I consider myself to be good at telling people what they need to do and overseeing their work and doing what my boss asks me to do but asking for money, I am a bit of a wuss and I want to be able to give over a good argument other than saying 'please give me some money I'm poor'.:o

    Any advise out there please

  • another £13.56 to add, my wireless card sold on amazon, they credited me over £4 for postage but it actually only cost £2.38 so that was a bonus!

in answer to jets question about managing this and the race for life training its simple I cant!!! :) well actually it gives me an excuse to get out and about for an hour and whilst im training I can think of more ways to make money!! (although Im not actually trying as hard as some of you :o but then any money I do make doesnt have to pay off debt so I can afford to be a little lazy!!)

hope everyone is ok and still busy increasing their totals
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
  • I've got another £8.19 to add from ebay and amazon (slwoly but surely getting it all sold!)

HAve done a few mystery shops but it seems to be taking forever to be getting anything for them!

THe matched betting thing I STILL need to get my head round. I'm off work next week so might find an hour or two then to concentrate!
