there are a few ( but not all ) LUXOR offers about at the moment that are not refundable, so check carefully before you book.
Sorry! Slip up of the keyboard regarding spelling of LUXOR
"Beam room package" I think is ok to cancel if required. The T&Cs state
"....Cancellation of offer requires 48 hour notice prior to arrival date to receive full refund. Cancellation within the 48 hours will result in a forfeit of deposit. Hotel guests are required to post a deposit upon check-in that may be applied to any incidental charges......" (hope its ok to copy this here?)
I am hoping it will be ok.
I would wait and just see what comes up nearer the time but I get edgey if things are not organised and sorted.....comes from having had a headmaster for a Dad!
I am just booking flights from San Francisco to Las Vegas and I am about to book the Cirque du Soleil so will feel more relaxed when that is done....could never understand people that just turn up places without having hotels booked (not referring specifically to Las Vegas)....would be my worst nightmare!0 -
:rotfl:  i wasn't correcting your spelling , i just like to highlight casino names ect if i have time. i must spell Excalibur a diiferent way each time.
you will be fine with that offer if you need to cancel.
Buying tickets for O in advance is not a bad idea either as you are unlikely to get them for a discount i would say. but others may know differentBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
O - never seen a discount. Bit of advice, no need to buy top whack ones as long as you get a seat fairly near the front with second tier prices.
O is superb and worth every pennyMatched Lay Betting Profit £992
Casino Bonus Bagging Profit £30020 -
O does occasionally show up at tix4tonight, but only at a 20% discount and then only a few tickets available so I agree that booking in advance is a good idea if you really want to see the show and would be disappointed if you missed it.
As for booking hotels in advance, I totally agree with you, Hannah...I'm uncomfortable with not having hotels booked months and months and months in advance (we booked November 2007 in December 2006) - and especially with the freedom to cancel and rebook, to me, there is no reason not to book far in advance and know that you've got something you are happy with...if something better comes along, then great...but if not, no last minute panic.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Just found an amazing offer for Excalibur
https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=EXC&host=promo&code=XTV21&kbid=27920
Its coming out at really cheap rates
I'm considering it for one of our weeks:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
Just a quick question
We can have 3 adults in a tower room for $992
But for a little extra we can get a choice of 2 other rooms
Would you pick a View room $1062 or
Deluxe room for the same price but it's considerably bigger:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -

I always smile and ask nicely if there are any complimentary upgrades available and at the same time make sure the clerk can see the £20 in my hand.
They then might ask what you are looking for....i always ask for a high floor and fountain view (if applicable).
At the Paris she replied "I can give you a nice fountain view room which would normally be an extra $60 a night," I said thank you and heypresto I get what i want for $20....Of course you might get it anyway without the tip and I am never sure if it would really be another $60 a night.
But I am happy and the clerk is happy0 -

Normally for a first trip I would say go for the view...because you can have a bigger room in any city in the world, but you can have a strip view only in Vegas...but with 3 people sharing for a week, the extra space might be nice as well. I'm pretty sure that when we stayed at Excalibur we had a deluxe room (we had a sitting area) with a strip view - so best of both worlds...but not sure if that would be an additional cost on top of the deluxe room.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Hi Trets, dont worry I didnt take the spelling as a telling off.... I used to get enough of that at School!
Anyway, my research also suggested that there were very few discounts for "O" so I had decided to book in advance.
Thanks Kezza for your advice regarding seating, together with advice from Ferf earlier today I decided to go for the second level of ticket price, £80 odd (top price) is a lot for one show! The tickets selected were in block 202 Ferf so I feel happy knowing that the view should be good, they are a few rows back from the front but should be good. (I booked direct from the Cirque du Soleil website)
I WANNA GO NOW !!!!!!0 -
If you saw the size of the room we had in Tenerife for the 3 of us .....well I have cupboards bigger than that so the room size isn't a problem.
I'm assuming the View room is a decent size anyway.
I'm torn now as to what to do.
Is that a good price for this hotel for the 3 of us and as their child restriction is 12 years I think I'm going to have to book for 3 adults and to be honest there isn't much difference 2 adult price is $922 and 3 adults is $1062
Also can anyone confirm if the pool remodelling for this hotel is now finished.I know guests can use the Luxor instead but the artists inpression of the new Excalibur pool does look nice:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
