Roll on September :T ... for the wedding of course
Congrats, on both the wedding and the impending holiday/honeymoon! I've always wanted to go to SanFrancisco but have yet to make it...every single person I know who has been raves about it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I have been looking for flights to Las Vegas for a 3 month stay. The cheapest I am coming up with is around £700 per person!! Is there a better way of doing it? Can anyone help?
Cheers
Kathy
Have you looked at Maxjet? They are buisiness class only so maybe a long stay wouldnt be subject to any penalties. Also as I have just come back from Vegas with them I can wholely recommend them - Fantastic - our return flight cost £600 and for business class that is pretty good!! HTH0 -
Count me in!
I've booked flights for 2nd - 11th Sept, now for the hotels :rolleyes:Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -

1-day monorail passes on sale for $8 from today to 3rd September (normally $15)
the 1-day passes are normally valid from the first use (not the date they were purchased and only restriction is normally that they have to be used within a year of purchase)...so unless they are doing something special to restrict their use so they cannot be used after 3rd September, we may see about asking around people we know who are going during that period if they would buy us two as we're not due to go until early November.
of course, then they would drop the rates lower or permenantly, but still.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Do you rate the monorail ? I must admit I usually have a car, but if I havent I use the bus, cheaper and stops on the strip. The monorail is so far behind the properties that it is a long walk to it and from it, if you want to be on the strip0 -
i agree , trying to get to it through the MGM grand is very hard on your feet. you feel you have walked half way to Ballys by the time you get to the station .
i much prefer the DeuceBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

We have used the monorail in the past a bit - we also normally have a car, but on occasion like to leave it in valet for the night. I take a double decker bus 5 days a week+ so the Deuce is not appealing to me at all and it is slow and can be crowded from what I hear. I totally agree that the monorail is not the most convenient thing ever as the stations are quite a walk from the casino floor...but occasionally we choose it over a taxi...when the 10 ride sharable pass was $20 that was good for us - $2 each per ride - $4 for the pair of us...but when it went up to $35, $7 per journey for the pair of us - can take a taxi for that price.
Some of the stations are more convenient - Hilton and Sahara come to mind.
It will never be our primary method of travel in Vegas, but on occasion we like it and for $8/day it's competing with the rate for a 1-day bus pass from what I understand - still a bit more expensive, but there are pros and cons to both.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
