I see most things on this thread have been quoted in dollars. How do you get places to do that for UK visitors??

With the very strong pound booking in dollars might well be the best way to go. US companys will take your booking as long as you have a credit card ( be sure it is a non fee charging card like a Nationwide or post office). your staying in a US hotel why do you have to book with a UK company ??.

    For Mizz_pink
Riviera is a bit naff as is Excalibur. Luxor is a better deal for extra £100. Did you find this on new digital teletext or old Analogue teletext ??

you will have to wait till nearer may to get a good deal on a high class joint like the Bellagio in may i think but with priceline ect i,m sure it can be done

here is a good thread to be watching for anyone going in April

hi, I have found 7 nights at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino for £476 pp in April.

My girlfriend has stayed there and found it fine. She has stayed at quite a few of the hotels in Vegas in the past.

I think I will book this for us.

We are planning to get married while we are there. Does anyone have any tips that we can use for freebies, upgrades etc by playing the 'getting married' card LOL

We want to do some of the other sights while we are there as well eg Canyon etc. I fancy flying rather than getting a bus to the Canyon.

Any hints will be very much appreciated.

Great thread by the way. Thanks to all that have contributed so far.

Good price myk can you please post where this offer is available as i might see you there if i can get Easter week for that price. who are the flights with ect ??

$20 trick at check in http://www.lasvegastalk.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=16987 and a mention your gonna get hitched should work well. Guide book i have suggests a "luv tub" room at Imperial as being really good and fun. Imperial Palace is a fine choice for this price IMO

i got married at the Little white wedding chapel last year and it was brilliant,, good luck where ever you choose to get married

check out this new thread on Grand Canyon .http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=352275

you can get married inside the canyon or in helicopter above it if you want.;)

    Snap.
Flights seem very expensive at the moment compared to last year.

myk - for most of the month of April you can get direct flights on Virgin from LGW for £304 each (not sure where you are flying from, though).

Assuming you pay £608 for the flights as above, that would leave almost £350 from the package price for the hotel.

At a conservative exchange rate, that would give you about $650 for the hotel.

IP has $65 weekday and $85 weekend rates most of April on their website which includes some freebies...so about $500 for a week.

So booking flights and hotel may very well be cheaper than booking the package...and booking separately gives so much more freedom to shop around for better hotel deals, etc...and if you gamble at all...your play at IP can be looked at to reduce your hotel rates...cannot do that with a package.

I think that's a pretty good deal...We have stayed there several times and it's really a lot nicer than a number of other places discussed here...for $41 or $51/night per room would be a great deal for someone looking for an inexpensive place to stay...much better location than many of the hotels mentioned here (Terribles, Riviera, Stratosphere, Circus Circus) too.

Also, Gold Coast is next to Rio, not downtown. :) Haven't seen the rooms, but the breakfast buffet is great and the casino is much bigger than I ever thought it would be...very nice and clean, too...was pleasantly surprised when we stopped by one morning in November.
