Don't pay too much extra for this free gift as it is not that expensive to do this flight when you get there.0 -

If you find one on a web site (I have posted a lot of links on these pages so you should find a few sites), then go for it, at least you know it is done. But for a night flight over the strip, then I would wait til you are there to see if you want to, there are coupons for these trips everywhere.
When we went to the GC, coming back the pilot took us over the strip anyway.0 -
Last time we went to the GC (last year) we booked THIS TOUR online before we went and it was very good.
I was a bit wary of going on a plane again as the first time we went to the GC it was on a small plane, it was a bumpy ride and I was sickalso the view was obstructed , but this was a bigger plane , very smooth ride and excellent views.
Been on 2 helicopter trips with Papillon and Sundance which were both very good and both fly over the strip on the return journey. Both land in the canyon although Papillon's landing area is lower down than Sundances.Same old same old since 20080 -
We went on the night flight up the strip with Sundance.
We actually went on "stand-by" and it cost us $12 (twelve) each!!!!
We just went to the heliport at about 7.00 pm and asked if they had any stand by tickets. We were told to wait although it was unlkely that all four of us would get on the same flight. But as it happened we all got on a flight at about 8.30 pm.
We even got the shuttle bus back to the strip although we had intended to get a cab.
So all in all an excellent trip.0 -
You can book all the trips you need when you are there, there are different agencies on the strip all offering reasonable prices. All the hotels also offer deals.0

This is a naff deal. i know because Virgin offered this exact same free tour when we booked our Grand canyon helicopter tour with them last year. costs maybe £30-40 if you book seperately and last about 10 mins.. nowhere near what the Virgin holiday will cost you extra . plus being dark you won't get any photos. get the late canyon tour and they fly over the strip on the way back at dusk with all the strip lights on . i got some fantastic photos of the strip at sunset. Hoover damm , Lake mead and The valley of fire are also great sights on the trip . i know it can seem expensive but it is one of thoose once in a lifetime experiances you will never forget so DO do it it is worth it.is it best to wait til i get ther then b4 booking any trips?
Yes and no for a canyon tour. ,Book when you get there by looking for a good deal in any of the free magazines found in Taxis , Hotel lobbies ,Monorail stations. you may save money you may not over a online booking. or if you plan on Gambling a lot ( but i do mean A LOT ) your casino may comp you .
otherwise these are the main operators booking direct is always better

http://www.heliusa.com/ is who i went with and were very good and friendly ....this tour looks good for horse riding http://www.heliusa.com/tour-grand-canyon-helicopter-flight-g52.htm
. just don,t suckered into a amazingly cheap deal for the Grand canyon that does not leave from McCarren airport unless you are prepared to travel by car a substainial distance . Grand canyon is a LONG way from Vegas in anything other than air travel. plus any Reputiable operator will pick you up from your hotel.
anything else i would wait till i got there if i was you
If you want it and can pay for it , Vegas will bend over backwards to make it happenBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
Great this is has been very usefull. thank you0
