  • We are flying out to Vegas tomorrow to get hitched.

We booked today, the lead price was £49 for fly drive but with all the supplements on etc it worked out about £500 for 2 adults and 2 children, Manchester to Las Vegas This is with My Travel. We are staying at the Excalibur and for Monday to Thursday a 2 bedded room is £26 per night through expedia.

For someone who hasnt done this sort of thing before I think we did rather well!

So, although you're spending miles to get the fare, you quite probably get the same amount back.

That's interesting because we didn't earn miles the time we booked a MpM fare. I wonder if it's changed or if there are different fare classes for MpM and some do and some don't earn miles?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

those are the seats we always try for and are so sad if we happen not to get them...it's great when there are just 2 of you not to have to share the row with a random stranger...and since I like an aisle and my husband prefers a window, they're great...but as you said, there is a slight downside as you'll be last in the immigration queue...but even then, 11 hours in relative comfort (relative to the 3 person rows) is worth a bit of a delay at immigration, we think.
we had the similar 2 on their own when flew both ways to and from Canada last year and they were very pleasant flights not having to worry about the stranger next to you.

I don't think Miles plus money earns flying miles. It actually states that in Kezza25's post.

I have bought flights using this recently, and had thought it would be good to earn the miles as well, but if I remember correctly it did state that miles were not earnt on this type of fare. If it looks too good to be true it probably is.

I do think the miles plus money fare is good value though.

You're right - I do see that in the original post now - I don't think I had read all the way through. Thanks! I think that the MpM fares can be good value as they recently have been for Vegas...but not always...we looked at MpM PE to Sydney just to check and it was something stupid like £20 less for 15000 miles or something ridiculous. :)
