and I am so jealous.
I know I just got back, but still!
And hey, I wonder how TangoBunny's trip was. I don't think I ever saw her post that she was back but may have missed it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Just back from LAS. Here's a few tips:If you are staying in the vicinity of MGM/NYNY/Tropicana/Luxor etc it is cheaper to get a cab from the airport than a hotel shuttle.
Welcome back and glad you had a good trip!
I think that the above is generally true, though if someone is travelling on their own the shuttle is probably cheaper but would likely take longer.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
We ate at The Steakhouse at Circus Circus - not in the $10.95 bracket, but it won various awards over the past few years......its odd as its in a rather downmarket hotel. The 20oz prime rib (maybe $30 or so....includes bread, salad, potato) was excellent......didnt need a knife to cut it as it just fell apart.
Theres also a budget grand canyon trip for about $100 or so......you dont get a landing for that price but you fly over the canyon and back again.
we aim to try there when we go. your right it is one the few things in Circus Circus that gets rave reviews.

as has been discussed you can forget this Wednesday due to the Ricky Hatton fight.

now i,m confused. either they are sold out or they are not selling them . the helpdesk operator was very specific that the flights were not available again until March. given that info and the fact that nothing appeared on the website i thought it was sound info
no i would not be worried if i were if you have your Tickets ect... but something is a miss somewhere . are you flying direct with Thomas Cook airlines out of Manchester or are you on a different carrier booked through TC ???Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
In case anyone here checks lvtalk.com forums but is not registered there (and so did not get the email with the new site info), they have moved the site to:
http://www.openvegas.com/vegas/
If you go through an old bookmark/favourite directly to the forums the link may be dead - mine was - but if you go to www.lvtalk.com it does redirect you to the above.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Forgot to mention, AA gave us PE seats on the flight out to San Francisco by default.
No opportunity to upgrade on the flight back from Vegas though....fully booked.
Have theys tarted doing PE? I fly with them a lot and have only seen the usual 3 classes, Economy, Business and First, and can't find anything about PE on their site?0 -
