    Hiya,

Just been reading through (and yes I did read all the posts!) for some inspiration, you're doing really well! Best Wishes :)

    Aw thank you!

Quick update - I opened a new current account with A & L and will put my grocery money in there. Any money I get from Quidco or any extra work will go straight into my normal current account to clear the overdraft. Should be getting £50 from quidco for the new account!

    Take care all

  • Today I did 3 things:

    1. Paid £45.55 extra to my HFC account, from Quidco and loose silver.
    2. Paid £125 off my mint card. (min payment was £123)
    3. Transferred £500 from my wages to my A&L account. I will transfer £400 back towards the end of the month to cover direct debits that go out in the new month. The £100 left is to be used for groceries.

    Feel much more in control!

I also thoroughly cleaned upstairs and did my ironing. Got the 2nd lot of washing in the machine.

    Go me!

  • Well totted up debt again (not been good) and the figure is now £35,075.01. _pale_ BUT from this month i will no longer need to use my credit card and can start reducing my overdraft.

    Figures are as follows:

    Egg loan £8162.05
    FD bank loan £12902.20
    Car loan £4751.02
HFC DVD £251.33 (but I have made an additional payment of £45.55 not yet showing)
    Plat CC £1169.09
    Mint CC £5552.75
    OD £451
    Egg CC £1834.77

    So there we go! (Gulp)

However I am earning a little extra money and am managing about £22 a week groceries so that is better.

    I WILL DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Made a nice change too!

Well I am well chuffed. I managed to get a medium sized 2nd hand freezer for £20 so I can get all cheap meat and dog bones to put in it, instead of filling up our fridge freezer! (Hubby is sick of seeing tripe).

I did a big shop in asda yesterday and filled our freezer with bargains (quorn stuff £1 each) and even bought ice cream!!!!! A small luxury but one we don't normally have due to freezer space.

My cheque to HFC DVD still hasn't been cashed so I sent them a letter at teh beginning of the week (2nd class) asking what is going on. I should also be due £25 from the pet insurance people as I get £25 back when the furball has her booster. I'd forgotten all about it until I saw the voucher tucked in a handbag I rarely use. So I sent that off too.

MY OD is quietly coming down.................

  • I am soooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!!! I have managed to pay an extra £114 off my total debt since 15th June, on top of the usual payments. Snowball originally estimated my DFD as 77 months and it has now dropped to 75 months!!!!!!!

I also heard from HFC - grovelling apologies and they have cashed my cheque. So I am going to be really cheeky and ask if I can have some interest refunded as it was thier error it took so long.

ALSO - having been very careful with electric etc we are using less and my prepay meter has reflected that too.

    Yay!

    Have a good day all............

  • Went to asda today to do the weekly shop and spent £16.54. Bit worse than last week as hubby is off next week and I had to make sure he had beans and soup and bread for his lunches.

Also got to get electric this week too............

Apart from that noting else to buy this week - I hope!
