Hi all
Been fairly successful putting a bit of money away for the BH break, just got to save a bit of spending money. I also bought 4 t shirts for £10 and some new leggings - mine are very old and falling apart! I hate spending money on myself but really needed these as my other t shirts have bleach on them. at least I can wear them after as well so not a waste.
I have blitzed my garden so that looks nice now but I think I am trying to do too much too soon and all at the same time. I have worn myself out so perhaps I should slow down a bit? Hubby, bless him, went out today to see his brother as I was in a right strop and couldn't settle to anything.
I am due to see the dr about my anti ds and their dosage - think he will be increasing them somehow!!
Dunno what to do tomorrow - I do have some shopping and ironing to do and some sewing that really needs to be done...................
Have a good evening all.

Up late as always on a Sunday. I always beat myself up over this but obviously need the sleep.
Went shopping in Lidl and have come to the conclusion that:
1. I will stick to asda for the majority of my shopping
2. I will use lidle for cleaning stuff as it lasts ages and is cheaper
3. I am trying too hard to manage on £20 a week budget so will increase it to £25 a week.
4. Any surplus left over will be split into half - half towards a debt and half towards a treat for myself, as I am not spending anything on myself and feel guilty when I do.
How does that sound?

Hi 1 Step
have just discovered your diary for the first time and read it all at one go. You've got a lovely way with words and it is always interesting(even though at one point you didn't seem to think it was:rolleyes: ). So I just wanted to pop in and say 'hello'.
You've done so well so far and should be really proud of yourself. It's never easy making so many changes but with your Dad's illness(plus your flu too) and giving up smoking you've done wonders.:A
I'll make sure I keep reading your diary now as I'd love to see you succeed in your aims. Please don't try to do everything at once. Take the advice often given by the lovely people on these boards who have been through it themselves....'baby steps'.
I can see a noticeable lift in your mood and spirits as your efforts have started to take effect. Maybe you'll be very pleasantly surprised by your GP when he/she lowers your anti-depressant dosage instead of raising it.
Anyway, take care of yourself.
Keep smiling

Aw thank you! I was talking to someone at work about how I try and do everything all in one go and they said do 2 things in the evening that you MUST do and then relax. I did 2 today, tea is nearly ready so I'll have the whole evening to myself!
Since I upped my shopping budget I feel a bit more relaxed too. The cats & dogs are due their fleas/worming but i can get that through quidco so will get a bit back. Mad eh - I can do 3 dogs in seconds but it takes 2 of us half an hour to treat 1 cat........................with thick gloves on and a towel to wrap the cat in................If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

I know exactly what you mean about dosing cats:eek: . One of mine was on a course of pills from the vet to be given twice a day. Nightmare! She used to keep it in her mouth for ages until I was sure she'd swallowed it. I kept finding them later where she must have spat them out when she was out of sight! Whenever I got the cat-carrier out I'd have to spend half an hour trying to get another one down off the top of the wardrobe as he knew he must either be scheduled for a trip to the vet or a stay at the cattery, both of which he hated.:rotfl:0 -
On a short break with hubby and a group of friends to Derby which has done me the world of good break wise but.........................
I am on anti depressants and was coping ok until a very recent visit to the dr for a check up and after a talk he wants to refer me to a physciatrist. We were discussing certain things about my childhood and how much I don't actually remember and the bits I do (which aren't great) and he came to the conclusion (which is correct) that I was physically and mentally abused. I always thought it was just a strict upbringing that I'd had but I realised after our talk that I have real deep seated issues and that no parent should have treated their child the way I was.
Don't get me wrong - it was no way near as bad as the little ones in the NSPCC/Childline adverts but bad enough - and never sexual. This has knocked me for six and is all that is running round my head. I am hoping he refers me very soon.
Needless to say, the debt free stuff has taken a back seat. I've not gone mad and spent loads on the credit cards or anything but I havenm't done my usual clicks etc.
As a consequence I am very very low so will just browse through your posts instead.
Take care,

Lovely to hear from you again, 1 Step, and I'm really glad you enjoyed your break.
I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling low but now your GP is on the case you may find talking to someone professionally will really help you to lay a few ghosts and move on. I hope you get a quick referral.
Take care of yourself

Thanks Imp! I am back at work tomorrow so back to the usual routine will help. I'll keep in touch with my dr as well.
Just had mum phone me and it was all I could do to be "normal" with her but I managed. She rarely phones as I usually phone her. I invited them up for Christmas a while ago and they have declined although we can go see her..............hmmm!!! Make of that what you will.
Got a house to clean so had better crack on....If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Back again!
Feeling better mentally as being back in a routine helped. Also had a letter from my doctor's surgery saying about waiting lists and different surgeries so although there may be a wait - I've not been forgotten.
I had a nasty bug the past couple of days, bad enough to take a couple of days sick, bleurgh!!!!! So glad I am better - hubby cannot cope with me being ill and the animals were soooooooooooooo naughty!!!!!
Moneywise - doing ok! Actually I'll just have a quick look at snowball.............................hang on.............it is..
drum roll please...
£33,636.96!!!!!
WOOHOO! Nice to see that although mentally I am a bit of a mess, my little spreadsheets and banking is trundling along!
Speak again soon,
