Thanks Hypno!
Spend day today - got a mouth infection so needed some strong pain killers and an antiseptic mouth wash. All from burning my mouth on a hot potato Sunday.
Day off tomorrow - me and hubby are going to the cinema (orange wednesday) to see Harry Potter!!!!!

I have just drafted a letter to HFC politely requesting some of the interest be refunded due to their delay in cashing my overpayment.
You never know.................
I have also set up some savings accounts for:
Xmas
My share of car costs
Pet costs
Going away Aug BH
Won't be amazing amounts going in there but every little helps and the costs won't be going on a credit card!If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Hi! I got a letter back from HFC - refunding £5.90 interest. Can't complain!
Any way new plans:
Worked out my OD is 0% on Alliance & Leicester so I decided to pay off the majority of HFC and most of my First Direct OD with it! So that will be 2 debts "gone", well switched from 29.4% and 18% to 0%.
I can probably pay off the rest of my FD OD by November and can then start thinking about how I can increase payments to the next debt. Which will be my Monument CC.
I have decided to take a leaf from Immoral Angel's book (hope that is ok IA?) and set up another savings account and any extra bits of money I have can go in there and then pay off lumps of the cc the day after payday. My pay day is mid-month which is a bit wierd but hey ho.
As for shopping I am making a bit of extra money each week showering hubby's nan who is a lovely lady but getting on a bit and needs help in certain areas. She would rather I do it than the social/care services as she is very particular about people - and at 97 I would be too!
Have a good evening all and enjoy the sunshine while it is here.

Got this weeks money from showering nan so I can go grocery shopping tomorrow.
I am also due a refund on something I bought in a moment of madness and shall put half of it back on my Monument credit card and use the rest to fill my freezer. That will take some of the pressure off the weekly grocery shop.
All good fun!If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Cheers buddy!
I blizted my living room today and cleaned all the bits I hate doing like ornaments and it is truly gleaming now. A very productive weekend so far!
You have a good one too.......................If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Thanks. My house needs the full "blitz" works too - but in the interests of being a good DFW, I am saving electricity by not hoovering and ironing!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Done the weekly shop in asda and spent £21.60 some of which were things we'd run out of like ketchup etc. I had a gift card from them last week as I'd sent them a letter about a "foreign body" in their milk and got £2 back!
So I treated hubby to turkish delight thins £1 and a box of maltesers £1 for me!
I have also opened up a second savings account for the extra odd bits of money I can use for debts, like quidco etc.
We are going away Aug bank holiday so I'll use that account for saving some spending money and then use it for debts.
Really glad I found this board. It may have taken a while to get the hang of things but I feel much more in control! If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
