Im not sure where the shared folder is on a windows 98/me computer but if it doesnt exist it can be created and you will be able to see the files.
THANKS! How long is the cable? I have just been on their site and it says "FREE 1 Port ADSL Modem/Router", does this mean that I can only have one computer linked to broadband? Sorry for all the questions but as you have gathered by now I do not have a clue about broadband!0 -
your right jo never saw that it was only 1 port (its was 4 port when i signed up). this means that you wouldnt be able to use this to connect more than 1 computer, however, you can ebay it and get a 4 port one. checking the prices, a 4 port one is coming in at about 30 max and you can sell the other one.0

Dont know if I have posted in correct place, having trouble with the new site. I want to go on to Broadband, only use internet for approx l hour in the eve, dont download anything. I am with Talktalk free eve/week end calls for a year (which I also use for internet connection in eve), use 18866 for daytime phone calls. They are charging £19.99 a month for 512 broadband plus free eve/wend phone calls. Has anyone used Talktalk Broadband, are they any good?Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

if your a very light user (dont download anything) then you definately should look at Metronet, with 200mb a month usage, it should satisfy your 1hr in the evening requirements. This is only 10 pounds a month compared to the 20 pounds a month on talktalk. Also its a 12 month contract with talktalk so youll be stuck with it for a while compared to 3 months with metronet

I used to be on Pipex 512k at £23.44 per month but migrated to Prodigy just before xmas for free and then regraded to a 2MB line for a 1-off £14.99 charge. They charge the same for 512k, 1MB and 2MB with a 2GB cap. Extra GB charged at £1.50 per GB.
I've only been with them a month or so but have been very impressed so far. Only minor complaints are
1 - there's no usenet access but I can always use Google for that.
2 - Email addresses are a silly length, at least Gmail is an alternative.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -
