Hi Seaxwyn, I am glad you are in control enough to state your terms. That is a pretty good step forward I would say.

I am still only on about chapter 6 of the book - it is not a quick fix, but it is definitely making a difference in my life!!

I hope you have a good weekend!

Sounds like you're on a roll! :) Maybe I should order this book from the library. Is it very different from other organisational books?

I think it goes much deeper than most other books - in fact I would go as far as to say it has got me very emotional at times....often more like therapy rather than any thing else! It is difficult to describe, but I am pretty glad I got it - it actually seems relevant to my life!!

Talking of which, Sea (sorry for the thread hijack, Seaxwyn), but I did some sort of meditation workshop thing at lunchtime at the University ("calm lunchtimes" they call them!).

Anyway, while I was on my little "journey" you popped in!! I can't remember what you were doing there, but I remember Sea78 being right there.....

Ok, so I have gone completely bonkers now......just thought you should know.....:o

I can't remember what you looked like in my "journey" - very bizarre indeed!!

Perhaps you are my spiritual guide :D

I've only read 40 pages so far but it's given me a lot to think about and helped give me a different perspective to look at some of my 'issues' from.

It's written in rather a dull style that makes it NOT something you want to pick up and dip into, unfortunately. But I will persevere as it does have a good way of looking at organisation and disorganisation and I can relate to a lot of what the author says about herself.

    Hi Seax
Hope you are ok. I have managed to list a few things on ebay. And the house is nearly clean for the first time in a couple of months! I mean I have even vacuumed up the cob webs!!!!

    Hope you are ok

    hi chev

thanks for looking in and WELL DONE on getting the house nearly clean. Hope the ebay items sell well.

I am OK but have been working very hard this week - good in money terms of course but making me sad as it's half term and once again I am not around for the kids.

I'm trying not to get angry about the fact that my OH has not been paid by the art school/university this month. Today is payday, but nothing has appeared in his bank account. He says 'maybe it takes a day to arrive', but in my long experience payday is the day it shows up in your bank account. I think it's more likely that he c*cked up and didn't do whatever he needed to do to get paid. It would be in character.

Luckily I have worked a lot in Sept and Oct so should be able to meet all the outgoings by myself as usual, but I have been looking forward to not having to do it all myself.

Oh dear, I'm feeling sorry for myself, better log off before I post a self-pitying whinge

I do wonder Seax what it is going to take for your OH to see that he is in a partnership, where he HAS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for himself at least. Will you having a heart attack at 50 wake him up, or you having a break down. He would HAVE to work his !!! off like you do now, or else lose everything. It really gets to me that you work your butt off, but he seems to just slide around things. And even when he does get work, he always finds a way to sabotage it, so you have to do it all again. This would drive me nuts! I too am not working at the moment. But that doesn't mean that I don't contribute. I feel that at the moment your relationship is very one sided.

Sorry for speaking out of turn but it has been a carp day, and your OH just rubbed me up the wrong way!!

Oh Seax - so sorry to hear that you're feeling frustrated. I can imagine how you must be feeling towards OH and also about not seeing much of the kids this week - is there anything you can do with them this weekend?

Do you have any nectar points? Not sure (sorry rubbish memory!) how old your youngest but there are cinema tickets for Disneys Enchanted at Vue cinemas only 500points - might be worth checking out? At the beginning of dec - I got Soph and me some as I can't afford the usual CBeebies/panto this year.

Hugs to you hon. Hope tomorrow is a better day.
