Thanks! Though the good news has been tempered by OH being hit by yet another £146 bank charges today.

Shall we challenge each other to have a stress-free August?

My neck has seized up and is really sore. I'm sure it's stress as I haven't done anything other than a little gentle running flast night. Another pain in the neck we have in common! I hope yours is getting better and the neck brace is helping.

Stress will definately contribute to the neck pain, but when you run, even slowly, you are using far more muscles that you realise, so it may be a bit of both. I hope it soon eases up though - I can recommend a nice line in neck braces.....

I think that getting through August with minimal stress will be an achievement in itself. That would be a good result for me!!

Right, need to get showered and dressed. DD has a friend being dropped round in 10 mins and I am currently a disgrace!!

I hope you have a good day, and don't feel so sore. Any plans?

Sorry to hear about the bank charges. How does his account get like that? Can you claim it back?

What have you both been doing to have bad necks!!!! I have just started skipping (!) as it is something I can do when I have a minute, and not have to go anywhere other than the back garden to do it. Lucky that I can do it in a minute though, as that is about how long I can keep it up before getting breathless. How embarassing is that! Talk about unfit.

Hi all, my neck is fine today thanks. Mine was a minor thing but Hypno's is more serious - result of a car crash. Hope things are improving Hypno.

OH's bank charges are a scandal. The annoying thing is he's trying to close that account but they keep applying more charges every time he thinks he's back to a zero balance. If this test case rules in favour of the customers, he will have a tidy sum to claim back.

Good for you skipping Chev! Keep it up and you will soon be skipping for much longer than a minute. The running training schedule I'm on promises to have me running for 25 minutes non-stop in just 12 weeks (currently on week 3, so far so good!)

My mum's taken the kids out so I need to get some work done - will just catch up on a few threads first...

Yay! Another piece of luck for the good news challenge"

Thanks to a mix-up with an order on OH's sandwich round, he has come home with a mahoosive 'buffet platter' of tiny sandwiches and savoury snacks, all laid out beautifully on a silver tray with doilies.

Free food is always welcome but this couldn't have come on a better day as.... it's my mum's birthday. I was sad that I couldnt get her a nice present and now I can give her a surprise birthday tea.

Fantastic news about the sandwiches, and happy birthday to Mum! I hope you enjoy the tea. Doilies make all the difference, so will make it feel "special"!

I haven't any good news, but I don't have any bad either, so that has to be good enough in itself!!

hi sea, yes she was really pleased with the birthday tea - I told her the truth about where it had come from but even so she enjoyed it.

We took her out for a canal boat trip yesterday - my dad's idea and he paid - and that was lovely too. She's not great at walking so it was a good way for her to enjoy a slow meander through beautiful countryside watching the dragonflies etc.

Hope you have a good day today, make that OH of yours take some of the strain so you can rest.
