Oh my word hypno, that avatar is rather spooky

The carboot sale went OK. I only made £33.30 - had hoped for a bit more - but the DDs did well and we got rid of a few bulky items that have cluttered up our house for too long.

Well done on your form Sea. I aim to work a couple of hours this evening - so will keep you company if you're still at it. Have you and OH had a talk about the baby yet?

Well, £33 more than you started your day with so can't be bad. Also £33 more than I have made today because I couldn't get my backside in gear to do one. So good on you.

Re the avatar - as my mind is constantly going round.....and round......and round with a million and one things, I thought it was rather appropriate!!

Thanks Hypno. It's nice to have the £33 cash - I've bagged it up, £18.50 for my train fares this week, £4.80 for DS' school dinners etc etc, won't need to take any out of the bank for a while.

However the reality is that I could have earned much more than this on my other job - all without having to hump cr*p in and out of the car and stand in the sun for six hours!

But, looking on the bright side, the carboot has had two good side effects. Firstly, it inspired my mum to have a clear-out and she has promised more books. She has THOUSANDS and they are very good Amazonable ones.

And secondly, as my lovely size 10 clothes didn't sell, I've decided to keep them and make sure I fit back into them before my DDs reach size ten (currently they're size six-ish but growing fast)! I've made enquiries at a local running club and intend to go along on Tuesday evening. If I can lose an inch or two I will have a much expanded wardrobe at my disposal. See, that's much better than making money selling the clothes, isn't it

Also, although you say you could have earnt more doing your "proper" job - in reality would you have sat down and worked, or would you have done as I have done and spent most of the day doing anything and everything or nothing else!!!

Also "proper" work would not have given you cash today.

And of course the size 10 incentive is priceless! Hope you have a good evening.

And also you wouldn't have spent that nice time with DD either, or got out in the sun (I hope there was sun anyway!)

Yes, there was sun, it was scorching! I'm very burned.

Another nice thing has happened - Someone advertised on freecycle for an unused 2007 diary. I had one to offer and she just popped round to pick it up - and gave me three large bars of Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate! What a generous person!
