PS fancy you remembering the engineering books.... three sold but they weren't the real hardcore titles. Still I have high hopes of the new academic year, when all those young engineers of the future receive their reading lists.

Hi Seaxwyn, Can't blame you for going to bed!! have got 6 out of the, oops, miscount, 9 done!! may call it a night there soon.

If i hear of any academics looking for engineering books i'll be sure to give a nod in your direction. Welldone with the e-mail, one less thing to do tomorrow which is a bonus.
Well, have got a long drive ahead of me tomorrow so must go off to bed and leave it there i think
Sweetdreams one and all, hope the mice don't keep you awake playing in their wheel.

Had a lovely thing happen out of the blue just now.

One of my many worries is that I can't give my nearly-13-year-old DDs enough pocket money. I give them £10 a month, but that is not enough for people as fond of shopping as they are.

This evening my lovely sister phoned and asked what they'd like for their birthday this month. I said money, thinking perhaps she'd give them £10 or £20 each. And she said she'd like to set up a standing order to give them £10 each every month!

So that's a load off my mind. They also have their names down for paper rounds, they will soon be the most solvent people in the household.

I have been feeling very down today, this has reminded me to count my many blessings, the biggest one of which is my supportive family.

Thanks girls! I am determined to be more positive today. I am going to get through my work, not wallow in misery, and stop being nasty to OH. He is just as gutted as I am that he lost a couple of jobs last week. He is not in the wrong, and it doesn't help anything if I nag him and make him feel even worse.

Money-saving-wise, I will check over the tax stuff I did last night and post it off, then do at least six hours work. Then in the evening I will go and join the local running club.

Sounds like you have a plan for a very good day there seaxwyn, and i love the idea of the running club! does that mean we may be seeing you on the running club thread again soon? Keep smiling, even though it's sometimes hard, I to am guilty of griping at the OH which makes you feel bad in return.
And if things get really bad go watch the mice for ten minutes, i'm sure they'll make you laugh with their antics.
