A-ha! You're struggling with overwork too - its so important to find some sort of balance, isn't it.... not doing too badly this morning - I've got my newly arrived DVDs of Stargate Season 10 playing on the tv (paid for entirely by vouchers from surveys!) while I mooch about for a little while on here, sitting in my new Ikea armchair on my new ebay table. Just about to change around the train tickets I bought to take account of the trip to the Centre for Alternative Technology before I come home from my mum's.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I'm fine thanks!
I thought I was facing a period with not much work and got all excited about spending time planning for marketing myself etc etc then ker-blam, four jobs land in my inbox.
I've been putting a lot of effort into networking and it's already paying off with offers of work - but it's also been fun. I do feel positive about my work at the moment. There are lots of pluses, the minus side is working at home on my own so much of the time, so I need to find ways of adding in more human contact.
OH is on good form, he's been decluttering the shed, gardening for a neighbour for £12.50 an hour, and doing really well on sticking to a food budget :A Last month we spent £265 on food - minuscule for us.
Moneywise, nothing is happening. I don't expect to save anything for tax this month, as OH probably won't be paid by the college (but I'm not blaming him). I hope that he will get paid decent amounts in October, November and December, and that we can save some of that.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Fab news on the work coming in, and good news too about OH's bits and bobs coming together!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
