Hi Seaxwyn - just had a catch-up read of your thread:-
OH - :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Voluntary compulsory contributions - yes, I remember those well - total embarrassment for kids if you don't play the game - it's awful:mad:
Your work :beer:
Time spent on here :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I lose whole evenings! It's very sad! Still, at least it doesn't cost (much) and is invaluable in the moral and practical support sphere of our lives!
Teeth - good luck! I don't know your girls.......I'm sure you could persuade them one way or the other???? maybe????;)
I was intrigued by the printer in the shed? Did you have to walk down the garden every time you wanted to print something? Or is the shed kind of attached to the house (I know someone who has a house like that - it works very well for them).
Keep up the work-mode to get the work done and the money coming in - well done you!Debt free by 22 January 2009 - thanks to an unexpected inheritance - take heart - it DOES HAPPEN!0 -
Yes the printer is in the shed at the bottom of the garden, where OH has his computer. When I want to print I send him a message on Google chat and he prints it. (OH and I 'talk' more on Google chat than we do face to face, I think this is sad.)
I've shelved thinking about the teeth for now.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hmmm - do I hear a cry from the heart? The typed word relationship does seem to becoming our first language, doesn't it? Next question then has to be, why has OH moved it in from the shed (sounds a bit like the Women are from Venus. Men are from Mars sort of 'cave' thing) - what exactly does he do down there? My guess, knowing he's a bloke, might be that he's got a new printer - and you can have the old one? Am I close?Debt free by 22 January 2009 - thanks to an unexpected inheritance - take heart - it DOES HAPPEN!0

I haven't read Men are from Mars but the shed is his domain where he spends all his time, writing blogs and listening to the radio and keeping away from bothersome women and children.
Why has he moved the printer? His answer would be 1) I print more than he does, so it makes sense to have it near me; and 2) The printer shares a table with another computer, which the children use for homework, so moving it has made more space there.
Both valid reasons. But I think it's also because 3) I use coming to get printed stuff as an excuse to invade his space, and 4) I have mooted moving my whole workspace to the shed too, which he is not at all keen on, so by evicting the printer he has subliminally shown that I and everything connected to me should stay in the house.
Anyway, the printer wouldn't work in the house for some reason so it is back in the shed after all.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

oh Seax - big hugs.
Perhaps might be worth getting some counselling? Might just be the communication you need to get things back on track?
Sorry if I'm way off!

Thanks for the sympathy folks. Things aren't so bad really. We may have our little spats over printers but we respect each other really. And it's hypocritical of me to complain about him getting things done when that's my big fault too.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

My printer is in my cabin at the bottom of the garden.......or at least it was until I got fed up today with going out in the rain to print off mystery shopping stuff.....so I brought it in and PUT IT ON THE DINING ROOM TABLE :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :rotfl:
