Thanks bountiful, but I have tried and failed so many times at Flylady - I think I am beyond redemption as far as my housework is concerned :o

Seaxwyn, hope you are well xx

:rotfl:Yeah, I am not exactly Mrs Fly Lady myself - but I sometimes manage level 1 tasks like "empty the bins" etc.
Seaxwyn - hope you really enjoyed travelling between places and spending time with your friend........ sounded blissful...

ps I LOVE flylady, but do it via the email system rather than on the OS boards as they scare me somewhat.

    Hi everyone

Shelley, I am flattered you have read my thread, and also that you call it a journey when it seems to me like an endless string of whinges!

Bountiful, like hypno I have tried and failed with Flylady. I would like to discover a Flylady-lite.

Yesterday was lovely, really enjoyed the train journeys and seeing my friend. She lives in the depths of the countryside and we went for a walk and had a pint in a pub at lunchtime, always the ultimate holiday treat feeling for me. Then on the way back my train was cancelled so I'm wondering if I can claim anything back from First Great Western - does anyone know?

I'm not doing badly with work today, particularly as I have a very painful right arm and am worrying about RSI or carpal tunnel syndrome. I've had problems for a long time and can't continue to ignore it so will ring the doctor tomorrow.

I've just realised it's only 2 weeks til DD and I go skiing - getting excited now.

  • There was something in the news quite recently about First Great Western increasing the compensation they pay out for cancellations and delays- I think it is £20 - but that's as much as I (half)know! I also have a FEELING that you will need a form from the station to fill in and send off with your ticket etc to claim the refund/compensation. Definitely worth pursuing. ;)
