Hiya!
Great news on the tax bill! Remortgaging..... paying off a credit card and shutting it down? Don't know really, thats a complete guess!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
fantastic news on the tax bill. Don't forget, though, that the amount you have to pay is a minimum, it's always open to you to choose to pay more :rotfl:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Excellent news on the tax bill - I would pay it off a credit card xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Well done on the Tax bill..thats great news!!....remortgaging I would tend to get an offset account with no penalties...I note from your post on the mortgage thread that you are already with the Abbey and they should be your first port of call to see what they can offer you also a mortgage broker will have access to loads of mortgages...I have always used a broker myself and he's come up with a real gem this time..(Abbey) and I never need to remortgage again.
Firstly I would think about exactly what you want from a mortgage and take it from there...my absolutes were that I could overpay as much as I want at anytime as I want to be MF in about 3 years..the offset was a bonus and a bigger bonus is the offset isn't linked to my current account..at the end of the day ..it's what you want your mortgage to do for you!!0 -

I wish you could come too!
My 'tax savings' are still sitting in my ISA and it makes me so happy to know that they're there. As they are gaining interest at a higher rate than the debts are accruing it, I can afford to take time to decide which to pay off.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Morning! I'm fine thanks. Rushing to get all my work done before going off skiing tomorrow. I'm working in London today, which doesn't leave much time to pack, hope I don't forget something vital.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
