MSE News: British Gas fined £2.5m over complaints

Yes, but where does the money to pay the fine come from?
It certainly doesn't come out of the CEO's pocket.0 -
A good signal to a repeat offender. A very shoddy company in all respects.
Well deserved. :T0 -
Do you think the top brass at BG give a monkey's about the fine? They couldn't care less.
British Gas isn't being fined one penny - their customers are, as it's they who will pay in the long term. Twice screwed in effect - once by British Gas, and now by the regulators. Nice and tidy and no-one in the Old Boys' Club needs to fall out.
We need to see such fines being garnisheed directly from the bank accounts of top management. Then we might start to see results. In UK-Plc, I'm not holding my breath, though.
I sacked BG years ago -they were one of the worst firms I'd ever had to deal with (and that's saying a lot these days). I'd cook on a garden bonfire before I ever used them again. But then again, given the useless excuse for monopoly control in this country (which has seen one after another of my utilities taken over by firms I'd already sacked) I might end up with little choice.0 -
I know of a highly experienced and conscientious customer service chap who went to an assessment for a job with BG. He was turned down point blank - too professional and helpful.0

So they hunt out people who will give bad service.

Oh I could have guessed that you`d have been scutlling around in here as well.
Backfoot, meet your alter ego
And for that reason, I`m out
I think I may have touched a nerve with an employee........:rotfl:
Just think another £2.5m or worse for breaching their Licence Conditions on Termination Fees. Now that would be sweet. :cool:0 -

Wind your neck in, you haven`t touched a nerve with me. Quite simply, I find your nonsensical jibber jabber tiresome, and would prefer not to try and enter into a debate anymore as your posts tend to be riddled with half truths and suppositions.:money:0 -
