Baby isn't even past termination stage it seems and your thinking about what benefits you can get.

Personally I'd rather he suggested abortion than benefit fraud!

Hmm why suggest this young couple go on and commit benefit fraud?

    Not really the best advice.

The OP has said they are both looking for work, at least they are trying I guess.

Just now they can claim nothing. I assume he is already getting JSA. She can try claim that too if she is looking for a job. She cant get IS as shes not a single parent. So nothing else is payable apart from sure start grant untill baby is born.
If they are going to private rent a house they may get help with LHA depending on their joint income. But they will need a months rent and months deposit payable up front

She can't claim JSA as she's only 17.

Its time we stopped spoon feeding these people, thats what wrong with this country. The attraction of benefits is too much for youngsters,I see too many young girls getting pregnant,no money,no housing, no support. Im sick of funding these people. You choose to bring a life into this world, whatever age, accept responsibilty and dont assume its on a plate for you.

How much do you pay for these children, do you believe ? Compared to what you pay to invade Afganistan, or to bomb Libya.
What do you believe the government will do with the money they save if youngsters stopped claiming their benfits ? return them to you ? or pi$$ it away on something else ?
