    Joint claims only gives you less money, I say the mother should get a house and the BF stays registered where hs is now. Means you get more money to live on.

    perhaps they would quite like to live as a family and he may have a job before the baby comes...

    They want to live as a family so there is no way they will be doing what your suggesting.
