Has anyone seen this baby sex prediction calendar? http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.com/PredictSex.htm
It's meant to be really accurate - it was certainly right about Imogen! They are doing a survey to see how accurate it is, so if you know what time you were born then you can enter your details. Michelle & Heather - would be interesting to know what it says and what you end up with!
Bay - how are you getting on? You've been quiet. Everything okay?

It's right for everyone I know.
Well, buying jars of food was a waste of money, unless someone can help me make them more palatable to Joseph. He actually cried at me to stop giving him the spoon. Mum's own recipe my ar**. The veg medley tasted like flour. I guess they'll all be the same.:wall:0 -
I have triple checked and I'm certain Poppy is a girl not a boy :rotfl:

Forgot to ask, does anyone use a Hipseat? I'm thinking of getting one, and have seen good feedback. My little angel is so blooming heavy at 24lb that I need some help lugging him around!
Hoping to grab a bargain on Ebay, although they do fetch high prices there.

Charlotte likes the Heinz Globetrotters best. They seem to have much more flavour than the Mum's own ones. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Imogen HATES the Heinz ones (even Globetrotters). She has loved all of the Hipp ones though (some so good, she wanted to taste them twice, IYSWIM!)
OK - have something to confess, no laughing at the back.
While on holiday I was asked to do a 'before & after' makeover shoot for a magazine. Very long story about how (friend of friends knew someone etc) , but I did it, and had a whale of a time! The pics have arrived this week and (ego alert!) I'm gorgeous! I look better than I did on my wedding day! I'll let you know when the magazine is out if you want a giggle. Bet my before pic looks awful though
Seriously though, get volunteering for these things! All kinds of magazines are looking for people to do these kind of 'look rough to start with, we'll make you gorgeous' shoots. I felt like a real diva for 1/2 a day and even got some free highlights and my make-up done by the girl who does Strictly Come Dancing (no, I didn't have all the glitter...) They even gave me one of the outfits. That's what I call :money: !

What a day today has been. Had an appointment this morning with gp to have a mirena coil fitted. I got in there and ready to go but it just wasn't happening, gp tried and tried but in the end said i would need to go to the womens dept at our local hospital. Okay fine i said until i asked what they would do differently there- i would have a local anaesthetic injected in/around my womb as they would need to manipulate it to get the coil in.
Wasn't too keen on that idea so gp suggested the implant which i went back for this afternoon, i have a pressure dressing around my arm at the moment to reduce bruising, and Adam has been given antibiotics as he's had a cough and the snots for 5 weeks now and it's just not shifting.
Jars of baby food- We bought them with DS1 but this time around i'm going to buy a stick hand blender and get some little containers, it can work out a bit expensive with the jars, not too bad when there's an offer on.If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.

Hey Suzukibabe - I have the implant. I'm on my 2nd (had one removed before trying for Imogen!) My advice is to treat your arm like it's broken for about 3 days. Try not to drive or lift anything (inc. kids!)- just use it as little as possible. It will hurt, but gets better pretty quickly.
I find my bleeding v irregular, but have absolutely no complaints apart from that. Just don't think about what they have to do to take it out... (Can't be as bad as all that fiddling around with coils though  ) Hope you feel better in the morning.MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
susan - thanks for sharing those timings. I think the baby will probably sleep most of it, but it will be entertaining DS who will be 22 months that might prove tricky. I might end up buying one of those in car DVD players and let him watch barney all the way. DS's parents house is 3 hours drive away, and that is torure enough. I have to sit in the back with him and entertain him at least half of that time. or we travel when it is after 7pm and he sleeps, but i don't think we want to do that to Devon.
Might suggest to DH we do a night in a travel lodge or similar about half way.
lu - it just told me it was a boy -and i have had 3 sonographers tell me that. I don't know what time of birth has to do with it though unless i am being thick - i thought it was referring to timezone, so put 0 as i am assuming we would be using GMT.
bailey i am another one who is thinking about you when you reappear. Hope you are not too stressed. I keep thinking to how shattered you were when pregnant, and i have the luxury of DS being a good sleeper and still being at nursery full time. I don't know how you did it. Although it has taken me to now to recover from being ill and we are still in the midst of DIY hell with only 41/2 weeks to go. Scary stuff.

Thanks Lu T, do they numb your arm to take it out like they did putting it in?
I'm fine if i don't see what's happeningarm has been a bit sore and i'm tyring not to move it too much, bit of a !!!!!! though as i sleep on my left side with my arm tucked under my head, not for a few nights me thinks

Yes the numb it. It's not as bad as you might think. I hadn't even thought about it until the car journey to the clinic to have it fitted when hubby mused "How do they get it out then?" Couldn't deal with it at that point, so decided not to ask!
It's just a slight nick with a scalpel and a bit of pulling to get it out, no big deal. But you have to keep it covered & not use it for a while (again). I'll be back having it done again later this year...
Michelle, glad you're doing ok. No idea what the time significance is. I have the baby book my mum did for me, so I know I was born at 14.35 :TMSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090
